Very nice! Youll find the weathering gets more natural as time goes by and the pack is handled and natural dust collects etc.

Ive always wanted to throw a quick pack together and leave it outside for 6 months or so, just to see what kind of weathering occurs and if it achieves a screen used/as they are today look.

Quick tip for drilling the PPD hole.....drill into the bottom and all the way through. That way you get the hole dead centre and its accurate (to the spengler pack anyway).

No primer, just straight onto the resin with the black. i dont think any primer was used on the semi-heroes.

Box of bolts and screws...yep, using that idea!

If you go a bit too far with the weathering take a small brush and acrylic black paint and just paint over the chips you don't want. It adds another dimension/level to the finish and adds to the realism.

Ok, started work on the gun today. Got the baseplate, v-hook and track painted up. Once dry I shook them around in a box of bolts/screws to add random weathering. The metal parts then got tossed into an acid bath to make them look nice and vintage :) http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a337/nick-a-tro...
