My suit, pack, trap, and goggles are all GB1 accurate, while I wear a custom GB2 belt and gizmo most of the time (I hardly ever wear my GB1 belt and gizmo anymore). It's all about finding a happy medium between the various films and such. After all, most of us aren't "cosplaying" as a part...

The best method of hanging the thrower from the belt is to utilize one of the GB2 v-ring fobs on your right hip; this will angle the thrower out of the way and keep it from bouncing on your leg when you walk.

Look at the ribbon cable twist on the pack during the Chinatown segment of the montage (which confirms it as Harold's pack). The label was most likely replaced for the remainder of the LA studio shooting. Also, the label isn't blue, but the raw aluminum of the base layer of the label. https://i.imgu...

The label is aluminum with a red overlay, so naturally the blue-colored daylight will give it that effect with the top layer peeled off.

That's normally Harold's Hero pack that Bill wears for a few shots during the NY location shooting (such as in the Chinatown section of the montage). Apparently the top layer of the aluminum fuse label peeled off, creating the blueish effect seen on-screen.

There's no evidence of Harold Ramis ever having worn the Super Hero pack. It's briefly used by both Bill and Ernie during the rooftop battle in GB1, and only shows up in the deleted scene of Louis hunting Slimer in GB2.

Always sew your patches (and leg hose connector) on. Not only is it screen-accurate, but will be infinitely more durable than any kind of adhesive.

Well, there’s no photographic evidence in either films or production stills to prove that Harold Ramis ever wore it. Sony has been wrong before about some of the details regarding the prop assets in their collection. They might very well be conflating this pack with the broken GB2 Spengler semi-hero...

That is not the Spengler Hero Pack. There’s no evidence of Harold Ramis ever having worn that particular pack.

The Super Hero Pack was briefly used in the rooftop scenes by both Bill and Ernie in GB1. Louis later wears this pack for a few of the FX shots from the deleted Slimer sequence in GB2.

Ten feet seems to be the average cord length based on some of the screen-used props. You can always shorten it a bit if it seems like you have too much; I think that my trap cord is at about 9.5'.

The Hero packs had two 6-32 allen bolts threaded from the inside of the the pack, thus sitting flush with the surface of the male portion of the v-hook. You can also use counter-sunk flat-head machine bolts like on the GB2 retrofit Venkman Hero or any of the Semi-Hero packs. https://i.imgur.com/XJEx...

The actual props were custom built by Columbia's prop house back in 1984. The original Hero packs for GB1 were actually built by Boss Film Studios. If I correctly recall the interview with the designer, Stephen Dane, they only had six weeks to get everything (packs, traps, and car) designed, built,...

For my packs, I tend to go for what I call "idealized production-accurate". For example, I incorporate a lot of the small and unusual details that are inherent in the Hero packs, such as the odd shell texturing, unpainted swatches on the motherboard for GB2, wooden block spacers for GB1, w...

I've had great success dyeing white cotton web belts with the pearl-grey RIT dye. After the dye bath (which shouldn't be more than five minutes), throw the belt in the washing machine for a quick wash, and you'll end up with a very accurate light grey.
