Thought id throw some pics up of my GB1 goggles as im really pleased with them. They are converted isreali frames to look more like the US version. I still need to add the straps and also the 6 snapper back poppers if I manage to source some if not il use some rivits and stamp on the DOT lettering.

Still need to add some weathering

What do you think?

They look excellent! Just FYI, AJ has the correct side knobs in the shop http://www.gbfans.com/shop/ecto-goggles ... ide-knobs/. Also I may have a spare power knob if you need one, but I'd have to look really hard ;)

I thought the same thing about the power knob until CylandProps explained it to me. If you look in the montage the knob is present, that must have been shot before the Sedgewick scene and by then it had broken off. So either way is accurate ;)

Yes they was made by Umoribawar on here along with the side knobs. Most of my machined parts for my pack came from him also. The green lense is just shade 5 welding screen trimmed with curved scissors and filled to fit.

Still havent had any luck with the snapper popper backs so guess im gunna have to use large rivits and try to stamp the DOT letters on, nuts.

Just out of curiosity where did you get the initial goggles? I'm have a heck of a time hunting some down.

Those are looking killer - you can find snaps for your goggles at fabric stores, here in Canada we have a place called Fabric Land. but any seamstress shop should carry them. Tip for a Tip is fair I think. ;D

Unfortunately you're going to have a hard time getting a real pair of frames into Canada. They are US Army surplus and are banned from export. You might get lucky but they could get confiscated by customs :(
