You're barking up the wrong tree here. Your cryptic descriptions of what exactly you're looking for (and not answering AJ's question) a day after you asked the same question aren't helping your cause. Those of us who do know where there are "any Cadillacs close to the ECTO-1 for sale" are either jockeying for it or are in the same boat as you; looking for one. I will wish you luck in your search though, be ready to spend a considerable amount of money for anything close.

Maybe vague is a better word... "Almost close enough" is not a definitive answer to "Just how close is close enough for you" I mean that could vary anywhere from "A 59-64 not concerned with coach company" to "Gotta be a 59" or "Gotta be a Miller Meteor" to "Any Hearse in general" to "Anything but a motorcycle".

Not answering "How much are you looking to spend" doesn't help either. You might only have a budget of $10,000 which would put anything accurate out or your reach....OR you might be willing to drop $80,000 on a complete car.....

WE HAVE NO WAY OF KNOWING BECAUSE YOU WON'T COMMUNICATE WITH US.

So as Loren put it....those of us in the know within the commercial chassis and collector car communities who know of source cars, see people behave like that and simply don't offer the help.

The majority of what I have seen lately has been between 20,000 and 35,000 for something that is "close". This went up on Craig's List this week (apologies to Boomer for not sharing this on his thread yet)"

35,000 seems like a lot, but if you really have the funds and the ability to convert a landau, maybe this one is for you.

That's a good looking car! AND it runs??? It's obviously not a MM but this will give an idea of "close"ness versus price.

But its already a movie replica car as it sits (or it would be when fixed up) the 59 Superior Landau is the Harold and Maude car!

Hahaha, that is a funny clip. I have never actually seen this movie, I should check it out. Maybe the price is a little inflated because it matches this movie.

I imagine that stunt driver had some fun getting that big sucker to fish tail.

I look at that car in action and I'm so proud that mankind came up with such a badass looking car for dead people to be hauled in. The car design is so full of irony...
