Hi ya'll! My name's Morgan, and I'm a proton-packing Ghostbuster in Charleston. I just wanted to see if there was anyone else here who was in the area.
I go to Dragoncon every year. I also break out my pack every few months and take a walk downtown just to see what happens. ^_^

I'm here in Greenville, SC. Hadn't decided on DragonCon yet.
Used to live in West Ashley region of Charleston, tho.

I know there's at least two independent groups going. As for contacting them, I'm not really sure. The guys I talked to last year aren't going this year. I'm not either sadly. >_< I'm sure if you post a new thread about it someone who's going will reply.

I heard GBFans.com was setting up booth there this year, but you probably already know about that.

I go to Dragoncon every year. I also break out my pack every few months and take a walk downtown just to see what happens. ^_^ Walking downtown? That's awesome, man. I'd love to too, ha ha ha... But that's near where I used to go to Bible college and they might raise an eyebrow to that if'n they saw me, lol. Ha ha ha... I will anyway if our larger movie project ever gets off its feet. Anyway, just giving a holler to somewhat nearby franchises in Virginia and South Carolina. I'm Boyer, the leader of the Central North Carolina GBs. We'd all love to go to Dragon Con sometime but it'd be hard getting some of these guys down there since it's so far away. Take care!

It's fun, particularly around Halloween. I always walk by the ghost walks. lol!
Give me a holler if your movie ever gets to the production level. I'm always ready to help. ^_^

We've still got to get some better looking proton packs and other props. But seriously speaking about our larger movie, that will only be considered if my friend, team member, and actor Gray finally puts up an effort to film his last and only scene for our current 10-15 minute Ghostbuster film. I don't want to take him out or replace him for another movie, but he's not really leaving me any choice. Maybe I should start holding auditions for actor-look-alikes? I doubt Gray will ever stumble upon this message and read it, but if he does - yeah, Gray. Get your butt to work!! Being married is no excuse! LOL Thanks again!

lol! I've lost so many friends to the marriage plague. Of course I really can't say much since I'm getting married too, but at least my guy knows that I have a lot of interests. ^_^
Wow, there's only one scene left? Man, that's harsh! There's no reason not to finish it! Hopefully he'll get his act together for you. *crosses fingers*

Hopefully he'll get his act together for you. *crosses fingers* Wow, I'm not sure why I always assume everyone is male without even thinking about it. lol Anyway, right, since it's a 10-20, possibly 30, minute short film with only one exterior and one interior live action locations, there's not much at all. There are only three human actors in this movie and all we need are the shots of us in the interior but he's the odd man out. We've already filmed the beginning and end of the movie and I've got the 3D ghost and a bunch of the animated segments created. Anyway, if you want to follow along, check out the links in my signature, or check us out at fanfilms.net - http://www.fanfilms.net/index.php?cid=19&fid=1465 . The concept is that a ghost sucks us into the TV and turns us into cartoons. We thought it was the perfect low budget way to express our love for both the live action and animated properties. My friend is the one in the teaser clip. Yes, he has voiced all of his dialogue for the feature which is excellent, so maybe we'll only do animations in the future...

It's cool. Morgan is a unisex name. Besides, there are WAY more men into this then women. Easy mistake. ^_^
I like the idea! One of the hardest parts of doing a fan film is the special effects. If it's animated then a lot of the problems are solved ahead of time. It's a shame it's stuck in limbo. I'd really like to see it!

I'd really like to see it! Thanks! Actually the special effects are breeze for me as long as I have the software. What's not a breeze is the physical material parts of the film, like prop building ... and getting reliable actors ... and locations and sets, and staying within budget, and ... lol.
