NEW IMPROVED light kit - £50 plus postage and packing (Around $75 USD as of April 2010 - Depending on Currency Rates)
This is the newer version of the light kit I have offered in the past, now with a professionally produced PCB that offers a better looking and more efficient Proton Pack Light Kit.
The Kits lights up to the sequence shown in the movies and the speed can be controlled by a variable resistor for a personal touch to your pack. The circuit board itself will mount inside the Power cell and is 9.5cm high (Including LEDs) by 9.5cm wide. You could mount the board with Plasticine or Blue-tak easily enough.
It is made from the following:
A Printed Circuit Board (High quality professionally produced) 19 Ultra Bright White LED’s 19 x 470 ohm Resistors 20 x 10K Resistors 1 x 47K Resistor 1 x 47K Variable Pot Resistor 18 x Transistors 1 x 1uF, 1 x 10uF, 1 x 0.1uF Capacitors 1 x 555 Chip, 1 x 4017 chip, 2 x 4015 chips Lots of wire
The Kit comes with a toggle switch, about 10 feet (x2) of wire to connect it to the Particle Thrower and a Battery clip for a 9V Battery (I have 4 packs using this kit and the battery has lasted a long time). The toggle switch is not soldered yet as you will need to thread them through your packs (The wires can be simply twisted together but I recommend soldering if you can).
The two sides of the completed PCB
The Battery Clip (Battery not supplied)
The Variable resistor that allows the cycle rate to be adjusted
The kit comes with a mini toggle switch for your Particle Thrower
Around ten feet of wire to connect to the toggle switch in the Particle Thrower (Colours may vary)
The Cyclotron Lights
15 ultra bright white Power Cell LEDs
The Light Kit in action (This video features the old PCB but works exactly the same way)

I'd definitely be interested in a Cyclotron.
Aluminium and brass rod, Should have mentioned that, i'll edit it later.

I have one slight seconds plastic cyclotron up for grabs. It has a small split on the inside edge of one of the rings. I've glued it and with a bit of primer and paint will not be noticeable.
It's in the box ready to go (we be fast and they be slow- haha)
Only £7 + P&P
Any takers?

I have a light kit with incandescent bulbs for the blue bar. How's the power consumption on this kit compared to the one I got? Also, could the light kit be ordered without the components soldered on already?

Hey JT, Thanks again for my cyclo and lights, I was wondering if you'd like to share how you attached said objects to your own packs? Thanks

Hi, The cyclo needs a bit of a rinse to get rid of any grease from the vac former. Then you can lightly sand the inside of the piece and then wipe with a damp cloth to get rid of sanded particles. This will provivde a rough surface for glue to stick to. Use a hot glue gun to stick a few squares of wood or plastic (cut the same hight as the outer rim)inside the cyclos outer under surface (does that make sense?) and then add glue to these and stick into position. Then take the glue gun and press the nozzle into the join between cyclo and spacer and carefully squeeze the gun whilst moving the nozzle around the cyclo. This should seal up the gap and providing you use just enough glue and will give a nice rounded weld effect. Then you can trim the excess glue with a knife or scrape it away with your finger nails. Any mistakes can be dealt with buy moving the hot nozzle over the join without pulling the trigger on the gluegun in order to remelt the glue.
The light kit can be held in place with plasticine, polystyrene with a groove sawn into it and placed at both ends or even with some offcuts of wood. I prefer the polystyrene way myself as you can accurately cut to size then glue into place and slide the kit into place neatly without having to glue it further.
Hope that explains it clearly enough,
JT
