Seller Information:
Derek Lukaschus
Atlanta, GA, USA
Email: derek007 (at) gmail (dot) com

Price: $350 per fiberglass shell, plus shipping. $35 for shipping within the US, with or without a motherboard.
Each shell will be sanded flat on the backside like in the photos below, ready for motherboard mounting.

Waterjet cut aluminum Motherboards, tailor made to my shells: $40 each with shell purchase.

I'm now offering a mounting service to mount the shell to the motherboard. This uses the correct aluminum L-brackets, rivets, 1/4-20 machine bolts and washers.
Price: Flat fee of $50. This includes all hardware.

The shells come with the 4 cyclotron holes and powercell hole cut out for you, included in the price. I can cut out the 9 N-Filter holes for you also, for an additional $20 fee.
I drill, dremel, and file the N-Filter holes very neatly, within the edge of the 1/16" deep holes that are part of my mold. (see 2nd to last pic near the bottom of this post)

Here is the link to my feedback thread: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=26823

My introductory sales post here from May 2011, which is when I started successfully selling shells on GBfans:

Hi Everyone,

Some select folks may remember me from Proptopia a few years back. I joined there in 2005 and learned a TON and finished my first pack by Fall 2006. I went the "creating a mold master/buck, making a mold, and making a fiberglass shell" route. This was my finished pack showoff thread from Nov 2006:
http://www.proptopia.com/viewtopic.php?t=2878

I received many PMs asking if I could sell some shells, and by Spring 2007 I made and sold just over a half dozen to happy customers. For "references" sake, 5 went to Brock S. ("phantom50"), 1 to "Goosebot 5000" in Alabama, and 1 to Josh ("Clutters") in Melbourne, Australia. All were very happy with them, and the transactions went smoothly.

It goes without saying that the buck for my mold was made exactly to Stefan's plans, but the advantage on mine is that everything was made on professional woodworking equipment. All the round/curved parts (basically the entire bottom half, and the top-right corner piece) were cut on a large CNC router, and the rest was meticulously hand made on various machines. The buck is completely solid wood (and very heavy!)

I'm extremely meticulous with my work, hopefully that shows in what you see in the photo albums. Each shell I make is with the same care and quality as if it was for myself. My previous customers can attest to that.

I accept Paypal, and all shells will be shipped by USPS. I'll email you the tracking number upon shipment.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks,
-Derek

1/8” thick plexiglass lenses:
I have 4 complete sets left of these right now. They are CNC cut and are a hair oversize so you can fine sand them to fit the holes in your shell precisely. $15 per set. After the 4 sets are gone, there's a good chance I can't make more, and if that's the case, the ones available from Crix should work just fine. Just FYI, mine are cut to fit into the holes, rather than sit behind them.

Optional: I can cut out the N-Filter holes for you, please see description near the top. ($20 flat fee)

I was wondering about a motherboard myself. Any chance of getting some aluminum motherboards water-jet or CNC machine cut to fit these shells like a glove?

That would be the way to go!!

Wow, thanks for the continued compliments everyone. It really means a lot.

Vincenzo330 has been amazingly receiving to me coming on here and trying to sell shells, and I'm thrilled to have his support.

1985gbfan and JayStanz, a dedicated motherboard is something Vincenzo and I were talking about, and there's no doubt that it would increase the appeal of my shells. It is something I will look into, and hopefully there is a shop here in town that can make them, and for a reasonable price. If there is such a shop, I'll definitely offer them here in tandem with the shells.

Do irricanian (MultiMediaMayhem)'s motherboards still stick to Stefan's plans? Since I followed those plans precisely when making my buck, his motherboards should work, in theory. It would be nice if I could get a paper template of his mobo to check for certain.

MMM's mobo does stick to Stefan's plans exactly however Stefan's mobo plans don't quite match up to his pack plans and there are a few portions of the shell that will hang over.

Here's how I made my mobo file, I think you could pretty easily do the same viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24286

First customer. I'll let everyone know how it looks.
I'm going to be buying a MMM mother board. Unless DL can make his own.
Wish me luck.

I just did some research on the net and found 2 Water Jet and 2 Laser cutting places all in this area. As soon as I can make a template for my shells, I'll be getting quotes from them.

Theboysingrey, if you're not in a huge hurry building your pack, maybe hold off a bit on that MMM board....

Vince, thanks for that link about making your motherboard. That is a big help.

I shipped one to Australia a few years ago, so Italy should be just fine. I'd probably reinforce the box the same way I did that one. He said there was a corner bashed in when it arrived, but the shell inside was unharmed.

I put a ton of work into the buck, and don't have that many pulls yet on this mold, so this is the only shell I'll be offering in the near future.
