I didn't see a thread for Derek so I figured I'd start one. I ordered a pack shell and motherboard from him and am very happy with both items. In my opinion the shell looks very clean and will require little to no clean up.

Shipping from the US to Canada only took 7 days. I was anticipating a much longer wait, so needless to say I was blown away with how fast it arrived. It was also packaged very well. I would definitely say it was a positive experience buying from Derek.

Recieved my pack shell yesterday and only just managed to tear myself away from it just now. It's so awesome! Derek has taken alot of care to put as much detail into this as possible, and there are very few defects in the resin the ones that are there will just add to the weathering, so I don't have the need to fill anything in.

Derek was also very helpful in getting the shell shipped as we hit a few snags with international shipping, but it all worked out in the end and the packaging for the international trip was fantastic! When it comes to my second pack, I will definitely be ordering from Derek again!

This is how it was packed, with a wooden lid on top which I removed for the photo. (Motherboard was taped to the back of the shell)

:crunch:

+++A Seller, speedy and bulletproof shipping, great communication, all round great guy!

Just got my shell and motherboard in from derek yesterday. Absolutely incredible! Very clean and well detailed shell, he's truely an artist. Packaged with extreme care and shipped fast and safe. If I ever have time and money to build another pack, I'll be ordering from again for sure. Thanks a lot!

Got my Shell from Derek, and just to echo what everyone else has said: He has done an amazing job, it is a great looking shell. It was packed incredibly secure. Infact it is probably the best example of packaging I have ever seen!

I would highly recommend Derek.

Got my shell from Derek today and it is a beauty. It was packed completely professional, tons of peanuts, padding around the sides. Best example of padding that I've seen yet.

Not to mention, the shell itself is completely awesome with the motherboard also awesome. Highly recommend buying from him if you need a shell!

I ordered a shell, mobo and lenses from Derek and he does excellent work. I am very happy with his shell. It is very lightweight and very durable. There is very minimal work that needs to be done, just more or less light cleaning. I would definatley buy from again and again.

This guy does excellent work, his shell mold is top notch! I can't say enough good things about it. Packing and shipping was done extremely safe and efficiently. Highly recommended in my book, if you're unsure of where to get that shell you've been itching to do a build with. Look no further, you won't be disappointed, I promise!

I got the full shell combo he offered (mounting, drilling of the N-filter holes, and mobo) and I can not ever describe how beautiful and detailed his shell is. Derek kept me up to speed on how the shell came along and let me know if any problem or trouble he had encountered, but this thing is flawless, absolutely flawless. He is very meticulous about his work and it shows and you will not be disappointed.

I received my shell and motherboard yesterday. They looks amazing! Very clean and sharp. Packaging was the best I've ever seen. Communication was great - I got regular updates while I waited, and the pack was delivered exactly when promised. Thanks DL!

I bought a shell and mobo from Derek. It arrived very quickly, and was very well packed in packing peanuts with foam to help protect the protruding parts. The shell is very well detailed with only a couple very small spots that need clean up. He was quick to respond to all my questions, both before I bought my shell and after he had shipped it. I am very happy with them.

This shell is technically top notch! Working with fiberglass isn't that easy (it's not the best for your health too) but the mattes were laid carefully - no bubbles, no sharp edges inside, no lumps of matte/resin slammed here and there quickly.

You don't see the inside of a shell naturally when the pack is finished, but you can see on the inside how it's made - and these are quality made.

THANK YOU!!!

I am at a loss of words for this shell, so I'll just post what I emailed DL4567 (aka Derek). This should give you an idea as to what kind of shell you would be receiving from this gentlemen:

Derek,
You are a master in this type of building,  and I'm sure whatever else you do your an expert in as well.  I hope you realize this is thee most perfect shell you can purchase on the market today. It really is impossible to get any better than this.  Really.  God bless you and the talent you bring to this world.  A proton pack shell may not seem like a big deal to most,  but you help make DREAMS come true for those seeking memories from their childhood. Phenomenal work sir,  thank you times 10.

-jan.

I nearly made a mistake of buying a shell from an individual that is not very liked. Until I started getting in the forum and researching everyday on builds. Two months later after reviewing many shells and comparing them to the screen used ones, I finally decided to go with the DL4567 Shell.

I Purchased a Shell/Mobo from Derek in Jan 2013, Great guy, friendly and very helpful. The shell arrived well packaged and protected. Very minimal cleanup is required, the detail is incredible, no warps, or flexing, it is very well formed and lightweight. The back of the shell is very impressive, it's been sanded so there are no sharp edges or fiberglass sticking up, his methods are top quality. Very well worth it. I Highly Recommend !!

I just had to post something here for Derek (DL4567). I contacted him through E-mail and asked if he could make me a shell. He has been so helpful and communicative. I researched many shells on here and came across his and was amazed. His work is excellent. I received his shell in under a month and I can not stress how great his craftsmanship is. So much attention to detail. I am very proud to own his #52 Shell. Also his shipping was great. He packaged it with great care. Thanks again Derek.

Can't say enough good things about this shell! Derek was quick with updates, kept me posted about the progress, and the finished product is worth every penny. I'm getting ready to post some shipping photos and the finished product. Childhood dream realized man!
