So, I thought it would be cool if we could all share our oldest cover versions of the GB theme - y'know, the one's we had on cassette or CD when we were a little kid. The MP3 I am posting is taken from an old Pickwick cassette called "Pop Hits For Kids" (Some of you in the UK probably had this tape). It contains a version recorded in 1984 and re-released in 1989 attributed to "john smith" of all things! It is a great version so I hope you enjoy it!

Please share your own GB versions from the 80's / early 90's - I had many CD's with it on but lost most of them over the years and would love to hear them again!

Yeah, it really is - the good thing about any old cover versions is that they were forced to use "real" instruments and authentic synthesizers - opposed to now where alot of it sounds programmed. I'm hoping our gang on here can post others since I would love to have some of those old cover versions again. Would bring back some fond memories.
