it wont be live action because of murray's choice not to do any more movies YET i find this today on IGN. He's gonna be in a movie called "city of embers"

http://movies.ign.com/articles/795/795499p1.html

City of Ember tells the story of a dark place where the only light comes from street lamps. As the city's power source begins to fail, two teens look for answers to ancient mysteries about the city but they're challenged by a corrupt mayor

Sounds like a winner.

Bill Murray doesn't make sequels.. and he is taking more chances with his career with independant films and artsy type movies. Hasn't done a comedy for a while!

Well, besides the obvious exception of Ghostbusters II, he voiced the garfield sequel as well...so it's not an absolute rule.

I didn't know he was doing a 2nd Garfield movie. I'd say thats different since he doesn't have to act in it. Its not too demanding on him.. all he has to do is spend a week doing voice over work.

Ghostbusters II was the only other sequel he has done.. correct.

Naturally I'd prefer to see Bill make a live action Ghostbusters 3. I'm open minded about his "limited" roles, even when they're not the standard comedy he's been known for. Based on that synopsis, I might have to give Dark Embers a chance. :o

Broquen flowers was sold as a comedy.... and i saw it and it´s very sad... but i loved his acting there... made me smile a lot. Also, have you seen "the razor´s edge"

It's actually more of a guideline than a rule.

GB3 would be a hard movie to write. The first was pure genius, best film ever. The sequel was good, but had some glaring flaws, especially in the effects department (Slimer), and that annoying logo change on the firehouse, uniforms, and the car. Ideally, a third film would closely resemble the first movie. Heck, if it were up to me, it would be "Ghostbusters III:Return of Gozer."
