Carell, Rogen to star in 'Ghostbusters'?

Steve Carell and Seth Rogen will suit up for a third Ghostbusters movie, according to Dread Central.

Rumours suggest that the new film will bring together original Ghostbusters Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson, who will hand over their business to four younger paranormal experts.

Speculation regarding a third Ghostbusters film has been rife for years, but the possibility looked slim because of Bill Murray's reluctance to return for another sequel.

However, the original cast members, including Murray, have all lent their voices to the forthcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game, due for release this autumn.

Worst possible time for this to break out again.

1) Dread Central says;

This information comes from a very reliable source who cannot, at this point, be named, but they are telling us that a new Ghostbusters film may be happening sooner than we all think.

So, unconfirmable source, who's saying "may" not "for sure" = rumour. And since it's a tune we've heard before, it's not even interesting.

2) Websites start posting the news. Why is it spreading so fast - oh, because a lot of these sites are subscribers to the WENN news feed. Why does that name sound familiar?

Oh right, we've been down this path with them before.

Until something official is released, I'm officially ignoring this rumour.
