Well,
My patches are fully embroidered and they don't have an ugly white stitching. If interested, just email me.

Why are the patches fully embroidered when the ORIGINALS are NOT?

Katarra8 wrote: Why are the patches fully embroidered when the ORIGINALS are NOT? The answer is simple: durability, quality and customer's respect. All original props (not only patches) were made for the production usage time only. After the "shooting" months, the props will last in some storage building (or go to one "Planet Hollywood"), but will no more be used. So, it should not need to be resistant and last long. For fans it is completely different since fans will use the costumes many times and I believe they deserve a long life/good quality product, not one that can "die" soon. Thanks for asking.

there are some fans who would actually like a sloppy, unembroidered no-ghost patch like the screen used ones

Just because a patch as a fabric ghost does NOT lessen the quality nor make it 'sloppy'. When fans are trying to produce the most screen accurate costume, why not go completely accurate with the patch?

speaking of screen accurate, kathy, both your GB1 and GB2 nametags need work to be just that.
i dont know if thats what your striving for, but if you could produce a more accurate tag, you could corner the market since people don't want to buy from kerezman

I just said what is real. Screen used patches are made only for the shooting time. And it is a fact that a patch made like the screen used one will have it's life shorter than one made to last. Again, I'm not pointing fingers to you or any one. I'm just saying based on embroidering technics.

The font is great (I downloaded it, btw), but the problem is to use them. Some machines did not accept external fonts (only accepting some fonts that comes with the embroiderer system). Anyway, I'll try to use it. Thanks!

Vincenzo330 wrote: I don't really like the way the ghost is embroidered. Why don't you just use white fabric like the real patches and like the ones in the GBFans shop?] Vincenzo, the answer is simple: because the white fabric can become dirty faster than the embroidered ones. And the embroidered patches have longer lifes if fully embroidered. Well, all patches I have that have the exposed base fabric had not as long life as fully embroidered. So, this second comment is my own experience. Anyway, there are many people who prefer a fully embroidered patch and I prefer sell you one patch that will last longer. Not saying others will not last, please. I just prefer to offer the longest life patch as possible. Thanks!

Guys, I shouldn't be the best to tell that, but even iron on patches need to be fixed on costume with regular lines. I mean, the iron on system is not "final". After some time of "work", it may unglue. This happens thanks to many factors, like body's transpiration (our transpiration has a chemical component that dissolves and cuts any glue's properties, even superglues!), hot weather, etc... Please, I'm not flaming anyone or pointing fingers to anyone's iron on quality, ok? This is why I don't sell iron on patches, in case someone decides to ask: because they are not guarantee of long life glued. Thanks!

I'm with Pete. Until the no-iron patches come back into stock here at GBfans.com I'm thinking about getting an iron-on and just sewing it on like a regular one. Anyone know of any reason this wouldn't work? Or, are the non-iron patches going to be back in stock anytime soon?

If you don't want the glue you can simply iron the patch onto some tissue paper and pull it off while it's still hot. If I were you I'd get the GBFans shop's patch, the quality is unsurpassed.

Pete, Vincenzo posted pictures of the GBfans patches a couple posts above. It's the same fabric, stitching as the non-iron patch. I think they look better than any other I've seen and that's what I ordered.
