to Sleepy Hollow for the episode The Headless Motorcyclist? I really like that episode but I imagine getting the rights to that story might've been a hassle. Does anybody know?

I would think that the story of the Headless Horseman would be public domain.

The whole Legend of Sleepy Hollow story is public domain. They would only have to get the rights if the character/elements in the show were a blatant rip-off of any existing interpretations. (IE: The Disney Version.)
