I was at Wallmart today buying Windshield wipers. When I saw these.

It is12 inches, with 12 different flash patterns and 10 color patterns. I haven not missed with it yet.

It on clearance at 10 buck(was 20), work can off a battery(12 volt)

Anyway, I don't know what I going do with it yet. It to big to fit in a proton pack. I was thinking part of a hand held scanner/PKE meter wand for cursed items/possessed people. Something more for lab use then field use, for more detailed scans.

If I can control the lighting I could do blue for scan.green for clean, and Red for possessed

If it could be broken up easily I would use part of it behind the nixies on a belt gizmo. It might even run on a 9V battery.

Not a bad find. Like Vince says, it would be pretty easy to break apart and align the LEDs how you want. Belt gizmo, video game style HGA, low-budget pack lights, PKE meter are just a few applications that come to mind at the moment.
