That looks awesome. Acrylic/plastic might work better for the firepole (less prone to breaking than wood). A hobby/craft store that carries supplies for model train scenery should have that or real brass rods (although that might be harder to cut).

I was also thinking dowel or brass also. The brass would be more screen accurate, but dowel could be painted sufficiently enough.

the last thing I'm worried about is screen accurate (which is why I left the firepole out to begin with... Im not even sure Im gonna do the stairs) since this is for a boy whose turning five...

Both my Terror Dogs seem to be slightly "drunk", but the one that came with Winston is worse. He will not stand even remotely straight...anyone else had this issue?

Just wondering if anyone's managed to come up with a "map" of which TRU stores have gotten their stocks in yet...my mom thinks the street date was pushed forward in some areas (the west). Which seems unusual; wouldn't chainwide releases be timed so that all stores get them on the same date?

I like the idea of a fire house joeghostbuster. Have you thought about making it into a papercraft pattern? If people have the time and skill you can make some kick ass buildings out of card stock printed right off your pc. Just look no further than this website. Ive downloaded a few of thier things and they look amazing! http://www.worldworksgames.com/store/You could use the papercraft ecto to go with it haha Im having one hell of a time trying to find these figures. I may just have to resort to ebay.

If anybody in the Minnesota area finds these, let me know please!
I've checked both of the TRU stores in my area, and I haven't found anything. I hope I at least get a shot at picking them up normally instead of resorting to overpriced eBay sales.
thanks in advance!

Anyone interested in modding either of these Imaginext toy Fire Houses? I just might try to pick up the one on the right and turn it into something usable. The Imaginext scale is pretty close to the Minimates scale. I'm trying to find pics of the backs of these sets. If I do I'll post them.

Garvin Ghostbuster wrote: What stores are carrying them? Toys R Us and Target, some K-mart and Walmart stores, but they tend to stay away from the larger playsets. TRU would be the best bet. On their site they list it at $40.00. Not too bad as seeing I paid $37 for the TRU minimates and $17 for the series 1 set. I can imagine setting the GB's up on the fire escape with some ghosts, and it should be simple enough to find a suitable ghost symbol to post above the garage doors. Not to mention a few paint details that can be adjusted. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... Id=3028952

Ive been surfing the "modern - mayhem" section of that site, those are absolutely insane! though I cant see paying $12 and $14 just to print out the pdfs, but I guess if youre REALLY into the d&d style gaming and heroclix etc lifestyle, it could be cool - I didnt see the ecto-1 anywhere on there, is it a different site? as far as my firehouse goes, I didnt create any of the artwork (just grabbed it from different sources and photoshopped it all together) and I'd be embarrassed to post mine considering the level of detail that goes into those game sets - if I knew that game scale was similar to minimates, I might buy one (like the police station or something) to pshop the details into my firehouse

TRU stocks this firehouse. Saw it today, should have picked it up. I'm going back either today or tomorrow. There is a hinge between the firehouse and the fire escape, so it can be angled to become the length of the firehouse, or it can be folded behind it for easy storage. It is actually quite large. The figures are a little taller than the standard minimate, but they would look great in this playset.

not exactly the same... this firepole has little nubs, the kenner one has one long groove that spirals down the pole... but similar idea w/ the platform and all (which this photo is missing)...

Yeah, baby! Found em!
I wasn't able to wait til after work so I rushed over during lunch and lo and behold there they were. Spooky, this was the store in South County on Lindbergh if that helps. As of 3:30ish they had enough for one more full set.
I'm a big collector but have not been this excited about toys for a while now and I forgot how fun the chase is.
