Hello GBFans!!! We are all very pleased to announce to you that those things that go bump in the night continue to run amok in Salt Lake’s territories as the SLC Ghostbusters get a call to a small town when it's historical landmark, a century old church known widely as "Saint Legion's Cathedral", experiences a paranormal disturbance. As they arrive on site, Silver, Mavric and Sketch are pulled into an event that will re-write history as they know it!

If you haven't watched the first episode yet, go and check it out at
http://ghostbustersnews.com/?page_id=1738

As this film is non profit and we have props and equipment to buy & rent and cast & crew to feed, we’re asking you all as fans and friends to come and help contribute to the next film before time runs out!!! YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE IN UTAH TO HELP OUT and it only takes a few minutes!!!!
Our friends at Kickstarter.com have been gracious enough to help promote our project and offer pledges to all of our supporters!
In other words, YOU GET STUFF FOR DONATING!!! Our pledges include signed special edition DVD’s of our episodes (when they are finished of course), signed cast photos as well as a screen used prop from the film!!! PLUS, everyone who donates instantly becomes a part of the production and will be listed in the credits of our next episode!!!!
Come and be a part of the magic in the making before time runs out!!!!!!

Also, if you pitch in you will be able to take a look at some of the props we've already developed for Episode 02; more yet to be added- check it out!

I guess if you guys wanted to you could donate things that we need like a polaroid camera and polaroid film, a brass cross, and such. But in the end, I don't think that we can expect that from all of you to expend the cost of shipping and handling for materials that we are already building. The main concern is the expenses that we will be facing, particularly with rentals and feeding cast and crew.
As far as our budget, we are looking at $1500 as described on the page from the link. I know that won't be enough to take care of the entire production, which is why I've already spent about one grand out of my own pocket and I'm hoping that we can get even more backers. Unless we reach at least that goal of 1500, no one will be charged, we won't receive any donation budget and we won't be able to send out any of our pledges, so every donation counts! We know that most people have very little to spare, but if everyone were willing to pitch in just five bucks, there is no question that this would be the most fantastic production that we could all hope for!

yeah, feed the crew! I know it's been $25 each time from Pizza Hut, and I'm hoping one of the actresses/scriptwriter will pick up the tab when we go over to her neck of the woods in September.

If you are lucky, maybe you can find a local restaurant who will donate food in exchange for publicity. We have the "Hot Dog Guys" who offered FREE FOOD, but thier schedule didn't match up with our shooting schedule : (

Maybe see if you can collaborate with students from a film school or university who can take cameras out sheap? Just a thought. I shoot my GBSI stuff with home cameras but they are MINE so I can shoot when I need to shoot. Maybe check Craig's list, schools, and ebay for used gear??

I'm doing some financial hoop jumping over here but I plan on shooting you guys something...

If we don't hit that $1,500 in a few days, I think that may be the next option, Sketch. So far, we're just over 1/3rd the goal and only five days left on the deadline...We can hope, but listing a projection on the budget may be a good idea.

money sent. Yes, some people may be able or willing to send you stuff. Hey, that's great given the economy stinks. Remember, this is for a fan film, not charity. Maybe you can extend the goal time a little?

Right now, we are looking at:

$400 for Camera rentals, lighting and grip

$250 for Craft Services

$600 for props and set building

That's what we've been able to cunch it down to. Let me know if you guys need any more specifics. And thanks for reading guys!

Aside from the props that are already in developement (which is what will be costing us the most)
*we need to print off a dozen or so photos and match them with frames for the film
*we need to get our hands on a glass case that would display a 13 X 3 inch dagger
*a sledgehammer
*a canister of pepper spray
*poloroid camera
*poloroid film
*an old brass cross about 5 or 6 inches in height
*dry ice
*a "Herring Family Crest" which we are looking at purchasing from one of the three following sites:
http://www.houseofnames.com/xq/asp.c/qx ... m#products
http://www.thetreemaker.com/family-coat ... crest.html
http://www.4crests.com/emcoofarhi.html

*We're renting an HD camera for $200
*I'm purchasing Lighting Gels for $91
*We haven't gotten an estimate yet on lighting and grip
*I'm running to Lowe's tomorrow to pick up all the materials for the set; I'll know the total when I get there
*We'd like to see about lacing one of our set walls with pyrotechnics to make the walls burn from proton blasts
*I'm going out some day soon to buy snacks, sodas, water bottles, frozen meals, etc for our Craft services and I may need to buy a blue cooler

Everything else I've already bought and paid for and has cost me a total of nearly one grand. When it's all done though, it'll be worth it! "I LOVE SCIENCE!!!!!!!!" ;)

Thanks, Sketch. This way, if we can't afford to give you money, we might be able to ship you things you need.

could you use a doll case of acrylic for the dagger? I have one of those wooden boxes with a glass front, I think I got it at Michael's craft store. try the Classifieds or Craigs list for the Polaroid. You don't know anyone who will loan you a sledgehammer? What about fireworks for the walls?

Thanks Brad! I picked up some old antiques yesterday to dress up one of our sets and I also picked up a sledgehammer for $5. We won't be needing the fireworks anymore, but we may look at Michael's for the glass display.

Yeah, I'm afraid that we will not be reaching our goal, therefor Kickstarters will not be charging anyone's account; which is why we will be asking everyone who has donated to make their contributions directly to our paypal account.
To do so, all you need is to go to https://personal.paypal.com/cgi-bin/mar ... ey&nav=1.2 and send money to GhostbustersSLC@gmail.com.
We are still offering the same pledges as we did on Kickstarters, so be sure to mark the payment as "This money is being sent as a: 'Other' " and include with your donation a message informing us of the pledge that we offer for the amount and the shipping adress that you wish for it to be sent to.

For those of you who wish to donate, the pledges are as follows:

PLEDGE $5 OR MORE
The comfort of knowing that you helped out with an incredible production! =)

PLEDGE $10 OR MORE
Signed picture by the cast AND your name listed in the credits!

PLEDGE $25 OR MORE
Signed DVD copy of Episode 01 w/Director & Cast commentary, deleted scenes, outtakes and more PLUS your name listed in the credits!

PLEDGE $50 OR MORE
Signed DVD copy of Episode 01 (and Episode 02 when it's finished) w/Director & Cast commentary, deleted scenes, outtakes, more AND you get your name listed in our credits!!!

PLEDGE $100 OR MORE
(for residents of Salt Lake and Utah Valley's) An appearance by the SLC Ghostbusters at your party with full equipment and Ecto vehicle NOT TO MENTION your name will be in the credits!!!

PLEDGE $200 OR MORE
(for residents of Salt Lake and Utah Valley's) Your own screening of "Ghostbusters SLC" hosted by the Salt Lake City Ghostbusters plus all previous awards!!!

PLEDGE $500 OR MORE
LIMITED REWARD 1 of 1 remaining
A screen used Ghost puppet from "Ghostbusters SLC", Signed DVD copy of Episode 01 (and Episode 02 when it's finished) w/Director & Cast commentary, deleted scenes, outtakes and more, Signed picture by the cast and we put your name at the top of our Kickstarters' Production list IN BOLD!!!!!

Thanks for all of your support guys. We couldn't be more proud to be a part of the greatest fan-based community on earth!!!!

We are forging on! We didn't receive as many donations as Sketch was hoping for, but that just means that we get to cut a few more corners. Things are looking good thus far and we're all really excited about shooting. Since Sketch is in charge of this episode, I'm not sure how we'll be releasing the behind the scenes and screencaps yet. But rest assured, we'll keep you guys up to date. As soon as we have something to report, that is... ;)

you just do what you can. Work smarter, not harder. The stuff you did before was great, and this should be great, too!

The budget list is ever changing...

*we need to print off a dozen or so photos and match them with frames for the film
*a canister of pepper spray
*poloroid camera
*poloroid film
*an old brass cross about 5 or 6 inches in height (for a podium) but we'll probably have one here in the next few days, cuz we need it soon
*A cross for mounting on a wall (about same size as last)
*dry ice
*a "Herring Family Crest" which we are looking at purchasing from one of the three following sites:
http://www.houseofnames.com/xq/asp.c/qx ... m#products
http://www.thetreemaker.com/family-coat ... crest.html
http://www.4crests.com/emcoofarhi.html

*We built the set and have everything now for the set design minus the paint and one or two of the aforementioned items
*I already purchased a junk load of snacks and food, but I'm sure I'll be getting more as filming continues

With the whole crews' approval, I'd like to release a few preproduction photos for everyone to see some time soon. We'll keep you posted!

The Cub Scouts are having a flea market to raise money and we are doing one for Church. I'll keep an eye out for the items, and I go to GoodWill pretty often. (Ex: Got a die cast Pink Caddy for $2 sames scale as the Ecto--I'm going to make a playset for my Minimates.)

We had an awesome first day of shooting (ironically shooting the last scene first) and everything looked incredible! Wess, Scott and I don't actually don the suits on until tomorrow's shoot, and we greatly look forward to being back in gear! Thanks for checking in guys- more to follow soon!...
