The Story: Easter Eggs:
Things are slowly going from bad to worse as Tiamat's influence starts to envelop New York. What started with blood raining from the sky has now been upgraded to random pockets of broken gravity, causing loads of cars to start hovering as if they'd come out of the Sky Turtles episode of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
And now... the pigeons are talking.
This issue has sacrificed any busting action for this month, but has done it in order to give use some character development and to allow Erik to establish more of Dana's recent history since we last saw her. She's reluctant to see Peter again, whether that's down to something he did... or fully down to her fear that seeing him and the other Ghostbusters would upgrade the recent weirdness she's experienced to a full "event" remains to be seen, although having survived two previous events... she should know by now that she wouldn't have had that brief one-to-one with Tiamat if she weren't involved in something bigger.
Mel and Kylie are sent to Dana's, and we get to see some of the gear from Ghostbusters II being carted around to investigate Dana's place. Meanwhile Peter, Ray and Egon are able to provide some amusement with their investigation of the floating cars at Columbus Circle, ranging from their dialogue to their interaction with the vehicles.
Ending the issue is a nice scene showing that Tiyah has become more acclimatised to Winston's world since he first proposed to her, and providing reassurance that if things do get bad, he'll be there to protect her.
With Winston and Tiyah left weirded out by the pigeons, Dana is left to close issue 14, ending on the discovery that she's now been placed on house arrest.
This issue shows that sometimes it can't always be about running around, getting slimed and busting ghosts... there needs to be time to let the characters develop as well as the plot, and Erik has managed to squeeze a lot in.
If there's one critique I can list, it's the designation of "Columbus Street" for the location of the floating cars. There is a Columbus Avenue (9th, over 58th Street) and there's Columbus Circle (which is obviously where the floating cars are located), but there's no Columbus Street in Manhattan.

*The bus visually resembles the one that Peter confronted the ghost in near the start of the episode Ghostbuster of the Year.
*Maine Monument, briefly seen in Ghostbusters before Louis speaks to the horse, is visible behind the bus.
Page 10
*The design of the doors in Dana's apartment building are visually inspired by those at 55 Central Park West.
Page 12
*(I'm not 100% certain on this) The wooden hand just visible above Mel's head looks similar to one I recall seeing in Katherine Parker (played by Sigourney Weaver)'s townhouse in Working Girl.
Page 15
*In the background of the shot is one of the towers of Time Warner Center (however, this is an anachronism as construction on Time Warner Center didn't begin until some time after 2000, and the demolition of the former New York Coliseum Convention Center).
*The Blues Brothers' ex-Police car is floating above Peter and Ray.
Page 17
*The Waltz-Partington Hotel is visually based on the Plaza Hotel, however the flags are taken from the Smalldorf Hotel from the Real Ghostbusters episode Ghosts R Us.
*The alarm clock from the deleted "Honeymooners" scene from Ghostbusters is present on Tiyah's bed-side table.

* The lamp on the wall behind Dana reflects the design of those seen in her old apartment at 55 Central Park West
