Release Date of the Video Game

Please stop changing the date of the video game on the page. I know Gamestop has a date, and Amazon has a date, and your uncle's former roomate has a release date. Until Atari does a press release and says what the exact date is... we will be keeping it listed on the page as "Summer 2008".

Do not change this.

Is it possible to lock editing on a particular page like Wikipedia until a more concrete date is known?

Absolutely... However, the page lacks quite a bit. I would rather keep it open so people can add relavent information. I would also like to expand the section so there are more and pages for information.

Example: A section for game cheats, grouped by the system being played on would appear in a sub folder of the video game page.

The Video Game page has become super saturated with Pictures.

It needs to be cleaned up or organized better.

There needs to be standards for these pages that are put up. The number 1 priorities are for them to:

1. Contain Accurate and Relavent Information.
2. Be easy to navagate and look good.
3. Be organized well.
4. Remain unbiased.
5. Be written professionally, using a third person formal writing style

etc.

I have cleaned up the page signifigantly. Now someone needs to go in and correct the grammar and first person mistakes.

it's not some guy. it's me and Ryan French.
I wrote that just for general info. I figured someone would rewrite me.
sorry if it didn't fit your format, but I did see you begging people for info
so I put in what I knew. your site man, I'll change it if you say so or you can edit it.

Also nowhere in the revision page does it list those ground rules that you just wrote.

this is a fan site after all . I just got excited about adding the info.

I figured it was common sense.. but I just wrote up some ground rules, and will be linking it back to the revision page.

But a visitor to the site has no idea who either of those people are.

When it is written "this was told to me by Ryan French" and you read that having no idea who the writer "me" is, and it isn't told who Ryan French is.

I had a look through and started to tidy the page up a little. I think it looks better and will try to incorporate some of Q's info in a sec. Been at it for an hour haha!

This is after warning the user about editing it... again. At some point, I will be considering it to be like vandalizing the site.

I'll keep fiddling with it. Need to work out how to move the pictures to where I want. Will tidy the screenshots up a little too and get rid of the pics used elsewhere so they aren't repeated. Will also add new info as it comes out.

Also.. I'm not sure if it is known..

But the images that are uploaded to each page are found at the BOTTOM of the page (when revising the page). I see a ton of images uploaded several times over. I'm not sure if that was an accident.. or intentional.

I didn't mean too, I swear, I just didn't realize I uplaoded the same pictures over and over, I will remember to be more carefull when editing pages...especially ones with pictures. :cool:

P.S. I just saw your revision of the GB:TVG Game page AJ, that is what I was trying to do, I just don't know what exactly I did wrong, so I as I said, I promise to be more carefull, also it looks a lot more organized. :cool:

I'm pretty sure what I changed it to.. is how it looked like before you did it. So I'm not sure why you had to do anything.

Since the month of June is now official.. the release date is set as June 2009 now.

Yeah, I was just trying to organize/add a couple of pics to the equipment section, but I don't know how I managed to upload the same pics more than once, but anyways, sorry again. :blush:
