With PKE Surge 2009 still fresh in our memories it's time to start planning for PKE Surge 2010. With that it's also time for a new PKE Surge logo! This is an opportunity for you aspiring artists out there to break out your pens and pencils and start drawing up what your logo for PKE Surge 2010 would be! Your logo could go down in Ghostbusters history as it will be used on all PKE Surge 2010 merchandise including t-shirts, buttons, flyers and more! But if the fame of your logo isn't enough to get you drawing then how about this? You could win a PKE Surge 2010 t-shirt with your logo on it, at no cost to you! We'll also throw in any bit of merchandise with your logo on it your way as well, so you can have the entire PKE Surge merchandise package all for just drawing the new logo!
RULES: Must be a "No-Ghost" logo. Must feature a PKE Meter. Must have a high-definition copy. One Colored Copy. One Line Work copy. NEW Submission only. You DO NOT have to attened PKE Surge 2010 at Dragon*Con 2010 Atlanta, Ga.
Deadline is October 31, 2009
Not only will your logo be immortalized on all PKE Surge 2010 related projects and merch, but you will also win one PKE Surge 2010 t-shirt with YOUR logo on it. If you win you will have a choice of whichever size you want your t-shirt.
You may submit your logo in this thread or PM it to me.
All entries will be judged by PKE Surge Command and Staff, and remember the dead line is October 31st!

I think this is such a great idea! I've seen alot of really creative people on this site and think ANY sort of outlet for artists such as myself to add to the community is just wonderful. I look forward to seeing some great submissions and taking part myself!
Hey Dan, could you please clarify a bit more as to what 'High definition' entails? Do you mean a minimum pixel count/size or any specific filetype preference?

Vector art would be great, but something like 3000 pixels tall / wide is a good start... or something with a high DPI.

My entries. The caveat being that I worked at 8X8 inches at 315 DPI, as I normally do for cafepress -- then realised *after* that that's only 2520 pixels wide & tall. Sooo it may be too small. XD
The idea here is that a ghost holding a PKE would look at the readings and go -- hey, wait, that's *me*! Cool!

Thanks, Kingpin! (Good to see you again!)
In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have done the XGB-style PKE, but sine I'd made one for my website graphics, I had it *right there*, ya know? XD Aaaand I'm thinkng now that I should have made the "no" sign thicker ....

It's still worth submitting your ideas anyway, whatever the competition may post. I don't know if Dan plans to use one logo for every instalment of the convention, or if they'll use different logos for each consequtive year.
Croesus, I like the PKE and the use of the videogame logo style, my only suggestion would be to possibly raise his face, as it seems a tad too low on his head.

Here it is finally. It's a team submission really..
The conceptual pencil sketch was done by me
Linework and color fill-in/shading was done by Jairus. I couldn't of done this without him

Thanks guys,
@Velvet: that one is kinda cute... nice work
@Kingpin: yeah I thought the same but then I took another look at the GB2 head, seems to be placed right but I know what you mean. I might play around and see how it looks moved up a tad.
