I use photobucket, but when I was trying to upload my new sig the site kept logging me out. So I used imageshack.com, works fine.

Can anyone help a Ghosthead out? How do I transfer a picture from my hard drive
to this site?

Thanks. I'll try that. While I'm on the subject, I'm trying to show my mygamercard.net profile and my posts
aren't showing it. Any help, please...

Ok, I've put in the URL and that is displayed but no picture is displayed in the signature unless you
click it. How do I get the picture to be displayed on my posts?

If your avatar "cannot be opened" it has a 404 error and was deleted or your server is down.

Is mine okay now? It's 125x117 and 8kb. I made the terrible mistake of having a much larger image before, heh.

EDIT: I'm only asking because it still isn't showing up, and it's been 24 hours.

I received the same avatar warning PM. I have made mine acceptable now so I will be using it again. Let me know if it's not I'm trying but, I'm not 100% that it's fixed. I don't want to lose my avatar privilege.

You can send it to anyone here who can edit it for you.
I'm a Photoshop user and I'll gladly re size any images for member's avatars or signatures. Just hit me up :)

There's also a free photo editing software too called Gimp.

It's available here...

http://www.gimp.org/

It has almost everything Photoshop has.

I just happen to be a Gimp Shop user, my Avatar and Sig was made with it. Also my sig is a link to my fan art thread and all of it was made with Gimp. So I recommend it highly.

Weird that my avatar was removed. It's been the same since I joined the forum and now I'm in violation. How did that happen I wonder?

Well.

If you cared to read the warning that was sent to you.. you would have read:

Quote:
Your avatar has been removed because it could not be opened. (404 Error - File Not Found) Please make sure your avatar is current, and follows the avatar rules:

Please read the viewtopic.php?t=10543

So... how did that happen? I wonder..

What I'm saying is I didn't understand what it means to not be able to open and such. My avatar was fine even a few hours ago as far as I knew.

I always use tinypics.com and choose the avatar option for pictures. when it works on the forum I just assume it's acceptable size. I've had forums where the size just wasn't acceptable and it didn't work. I usually just try it until a size works. I've had the same avatar since I started on here. Guess when I have more time I'll have to try and figure out what I did wrong and fix it.

And I did read the message AJ. I just didn't understand what you were saying.
