Not sure if this was mentioned, but are you considering adding the siren from Ecto 1? It might get annoying to some, but to me it's sweet, sweet music...

You forgot the "url=" in the first part of that code.

Here you go!

By the way - AMAZING car!! Can't wait to see it with the tubes on the sides, if you plan to do that. Looks great!!

And I echo other peoples' questions: siren?? ;-)

In the OP you can see that there are four 8-inch marine speakers mounted behind the tanks. These run to large amp and then to a source cable in the front of the car. The first mp3 in our playlist is the siren sound effect. This has been a staple item on all of my ecto replicas.

Anyway.... last night I finally got around to adding a detail I've tried unsuccessfully to have on the cars since 2006, warning decals! I've used paper prints in the past sealed with 3M or clear-coat, but they've all eventually come off after a big snowstorm or heavy car wash. Yesterday we had them printed out on vinyl for the first time. All vector art used to print the decals was hand-made by me in Illustrator.

The vinyl will probably outlast the paint on the PVC tanks themselves. Exciting!

And for my boys who helped me build the new car, a comparison of our original photoshop from before the design phase to the finished product.

Awesome!!! :crunch:

Looks great! I think the warning labels really help to seal the look of the car. It makes the stuff on the roof really look like legitimate equipment, rather than random stuff. You know... to non Ghostheads, I mean.

Is that...the car coming toward the camera, or was time travel actually achieved last night, and I missed out because I don't like cookies?

Neither, it's a close encounter of the third kind.

We'll be adding two single-rotator beacons to the top of the rack soon, one on either side of the dish towards the rear.

They will both be the same color, but what color should they be?

Blue?

Green?

Purple?
