Alright, alright. I think it's safe for us to expect Proton Packs, Ghost traps, PKE Meters, and Ecto Goggles to return in GBIII. I think it's safe to say those are the main four pieces of equiptment. Forgive me if I over looked something. But what other one or two pieces of equiptment would you like to see return in the background of a scene or maybe being held by a cast member? I say one or two because let's face it- a lot of us like myself would say "everything." But there's got to be room for new stuff too. Or maybe you're fine with just those four aformentioned pieces of equiptment and just focus on new stuff.

Basically I'm trying to get at what original pieces of equiptment you'd like to see make a cameo in some shape or form.

I'd like to see more of the tri-pod traps. I've always been a big fan of them, even as a kid I just thought they were really really cool.

Dan you picked an awesome one. I've always liked those as a kid too. I'd go with one of any of the Proton Pack upgrades from GBtVG and the Giga Meter from GBII.

The upgrades are cool and all for the game but reek of dues ex machina in a movie context. I'd like to see the upgrades as perhaps back ground pieces. As for the Giga Meter, well I think that should become standard ghost detection equipment.

Oh yeah, I hear ya all the way with the upgrades. Which is why I'd like it to be strictly cameo. Like in a montage similar to how the tripod traps were shown in GBII. Nothing more nothing less. The Giga becoming standard ghost detection equiptment would be pretty darn cool!

Yes, I'll be dissapointed if we don't atleast see a slime blower. Now that I think about it...is that possibly an egg that was left out of the game. Granted the slime blower does exists in some form as in your pack, but I don't even think we see one piece of the original blowers laying around the firehouse in the game do we?

I'd like to see a Slime Blower too. Considering that the very first ones appeared in GBII, and then you have the mock 2, I believe, versions of them in the game. It would just seem kind of...odd, if they didn't keep those around. But I'm happy with just the original 4 basic equipment. Though, I have a feeling that Egon may have modified or improved on some. Two things I'd like to mention about seeing in the third movie, considering how I loved to hear how Egon integrated some of the equipment in the packs, a la Ghostbusters game, I'd love to see a new and improved Containment Unit, as well as seeing the Super Slammer in action in a film. I think that'd be awesome, in my personal opinion.

I want to see Egon pull out an EMF Meter, do a few scans, and then chuck it at the ground, announcing "This shit doesn't really work!" And then he pulls out his PKE.

LOL! What you said, cracked me up Krenzy. Although I don't personally think Egon would say "This shit doesn't really work" I could see him just pitching a brand new gadget and just going for the good old PKE meter. That, I'd pay to see, just in itself. It'd give me great pride, not just as an Egon fan, but for my love for the PKE Meter in itself.

the slime blower should stay in gb2 (it kinda went with the movies plot) move on from that and give us somthing new. It would be cool seeing it in the firehouse in a scene or two.

I agree completely. Trust me, I loved that slime blower a lot when I was a kid. A LOT. But I'd really like for it to be unique to the second movie. If it was sitting around the firehouse that would be awesome. That's just my own opinion. Besides, like mikegb1984 said, it went with that movie plot.

I'd like to see as much stuff in the background as possible, but nothing pointed out for no real apparent reason. Kinda like in the basement in TVG, a few props for decorate that most won't notice but the fans will get a real rise out of.

I'm more interested to see what their prop makers might come up with as well just for set decoration, especially if they decide to make some of the RGB or EGB props too. Hell they could probably save a fortune and just borrow or hire from the community.

I'll finish by saying the one piece of equipment I DON'T want to see come back is the Sniffer... and before the storm I'll make myself clear. It was comedy gold in the hands of Bill Murray in the first one, but a repeat performance would just be pale, and I don't think it's visually appealing enough to warrant a cameo.

I really wanna see a live-action Ecto-2...

Slime Blowers should also definitely make an appearance. It's very improbable that the plot would warrant their physical use in an actual scene, but seeing one lyin' around the lab or whatever would be very pleasing.

I'm also a huge, huge fan of the slime-scooper. Hopefully they can fit that into a montage or somethin...

How about battle damaged uniforms from the previous films? Like the marshmellow covered ones and Ray's slime drenched uniform from GB2. The boys could have them up as memories.

...Or Egon politely asked Peter to dispose of the contaminated uniforms but Peter kicked them next to the containment unit... The uniforms obsorb the energy of the containment unit and eventually walk away only to return and try to take the Ghostbusters out..

I'm not serious. :D

He was being playful. What he was referring to was the plot for a Real Ghostbusters Episode.

Yup. Thanks Dan. One of my favorite episodes too.

I'd like to see the slime blower integrated into the pack like the game, but ONLY the slime blower, none of the extras like the meson collider.. If they could do the wand similar to how it is in some of the concept sketches in the Extras of tVG I'd like that a lot more than how insanely wide the wand gets..

The traps switched to remote instead of on a cable could be cool also.

Maybe something like the workbench in tVG basement with a bunch of unfinished prototypes for PKE meters, alternate trap designs, etc..

I don't wanna see cameos so much as new equipment. Upgraded Ecto with supertrap. Upgraded containment system perhaps. Not sure what else.

I really want to see an upgraded containment unit. We never got to see it in GBII, so I think it could really use an appearance here. Going with strictly movie canon, if it was "getting crowded" near the end of GBI, I'll bet Egon made some good improvements to it.

why does there have to be a cameo of equipment? my vote is if it aint broke dont fix it. leave the equipment the same. upgradeing something like the ECU is fine with me, but the pack, trap, pke meter.....there is no need in my book
