Hey all,

I know its been kinda quiet on here but I though Id give you all the status update on these parts. In ion arm and bumper are being finalized and preped for molding. the hga is still being built. I think for the time being I will not be making the crank gen assembly because there really hasn't been much talk about it. I hope to cast a test piece this week and have pictures to show you all. Stay Tuned.

- John

Hi Everyone,

Well, just to let you know I haven't abandoned this project ( Yet haha). I Have finalized the plug for the ion arm pieces so in the next few days Im going to do a test pour then hopefully make at least 10 sets ( 5 GB 1 and 5 GB2 styles) i will go through the post here and offer them to those who expressed interest first. Please not that these 10 are not the final quantity, its just a nice number to get started with. I hope to have the HGA finished this weekend and the bumper shortly after.

Also, if you order more than 1 different item, ie an HGA and an ion arm, I will offer the option to hold the items until they are both ready in efforts to save you on shipping. Thanks.

Im experiencing high temps in the shop right now which can wreak havoc on pouring silicone. The Ion arm is done just needs to be molded. The bumper needs to be finished smooth and molded. The hga needs to be made to the correct diameter.

Alright,

I know I have been dragging but expect some major updates in the next few weeks. Once again I'm shooting for the following price ranges:

1) Resin Cast Bumper Cost: $30
2) Resin Cast Ion Arm Assembly Cost: $40-$46 (all required hardware except for resistors)
3) Resin Cast HGA Assembly Cost: $20-$25 (all required hardware)

I'm also working on other various parts for the pack that I haven't priced out yet but will be doing so in the next few weeks as well. Thanks.

- John

Hey there,

To everybody interested and or sitting on the fence I have a question. Would you prefer the Ion arm and HGA to include or not include the weld. I could also make a tiny shelf to allow for your own personal weld design to sit on. Thoughts?

I was also playing around with the idea of maybe offering both welded and non weld parts. Would you guys prefer a standard no weld part or a no weld part with a 1/16" x 1/16" ledge around the parts so you own custom weld has something to sit in?

Also, I'm taking suggestions for any other parts you guys would like to see that I haven't already mentioned.

A standard no weld would be the best for me

Definitely interested in at least a bumper, and possibly the ion arm and HGA.

And I'd say, if you decide not to offer the option, just put welds on them as standard - if folks don't want them, then they can take them off.

Put me down for a bumper as well. Looking forward to putting that on the Shell I ordered from you as well.

Don't you just love this time of year? Just 21 days until the madness caps.

Cheers

Well I might as well say this now even though your products aren't up for sale yet.

1 Bumper and 1 GB1 Ion Arm

Well, it helps for me that I'm not even trying to get my pack done this year - I'm going to wait until spring to construct it, so I have all winter to gather tools, parts, and consumables, and to finalize plans.
