Well, Boston Comic Con was a HUGE success for the New England Ghostbusters. We raised over $400 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, met lots of friends and fans. Also, we got interviewed by several different news + documentary people as well as a really fun interview by a British gentleman from The Science Channel. That was awesome! Can't wait to see that episode!!! :) Our containment unit was a big hit and the fans just kept on coming to see us. The people running BCC were kind enough to give us 2 free tables and even gave us all free tickets for both days. The weather was real good, so that wasn't an issue. Over all, it was a really great time.

Great job on the table, unit, and rundraising. Glad to see another group working with a children's hospital.

It's honestly the thing we plan to focus on the most. I'm 501st Legion, so I'm kinda used to that. I wish more groups would focus more on the charity end. I think it's so rewarding. Considering this was really our first official event, $400 isn't too bad. Hell, my 501st Legion garrison was there and they only raised like $145. Also, it's seeing hard working francises like yours that inspire others to start franchises and do what we can to help our communities. Thanks so much for your kind words. The Arizona Ghostbusters have always been very supportive of the NEGB and we really appreicate that. Look forward to meeting you guys sometime.

HAHA!!! Sorry Bob. I'm just seriously in shock that we did so well. Must be all that good 501st training I have... ;)

I do hope we get to meet one of these days. Believe me, not everyone loves Star Wars, but everyone loves Ghostbusters. Out of all the "nerdy" fandoms out there, it's the most universally loved, I dare say even more that Star Trek as well, and I've always considered that to be one of the biggest keys to the success of GB's doing charity work.

I just wish the different franchises were as close relationship wise as the 501st garrisons. The 501st members are all like a brotherhood, where it's not quite like that here with GB franchises.

In time that can happen, but there will always be those that just want to dress up, or collect the toys and props. Then there are some that take it in a different direction that can do good for the less fortunate. Great job guys and great layout!

I gotta say, "Bustin' for Charity Makes me Feel Good sums up the experience I had with these guys this weekend. I had a great time at my first event and first convention. Met alot of cool people. I was surprised to see so many people that had GB shirts on and even one with the no ghost logo tatooed on their arm. $400 dollars for charity!!! AWESOME!!! Can't wait for the next event...

Yes Kevin, I did. I want to be able to return a decent message and I'm currently up to my eyeballs in hours worth of TAPS investigation audio and video footage to review. Sucks, but I have to get this done. I will return your message soon, man. :)

And thanks again for replying to my last message.

Oh and this is what happens when you take my 501st garrison and put their table right next to the NEGB table at Boston Comic Con. Sci/Fi crossover fun ensues!!!

You guys are seriously cool as hell. I only got sufficiently bored to pull out my DS like once. It was more fun clowning around (note the Slimer pic above... related note: I apparently do a damn good Slimer impression). Has the vid of me testing if the snowtrooper was solid hit the interbutts yet? I got people who wanna see it.

Thanks for the kind words about the Containment Unit. We are very proud of it. it was really a joint build with a bunch of the NEGB guys. And special thanks to my wife for letting me tear up the basement for 2 months as we worked on it!!!!

And thanks to all of our members giving time to a worthy cause, we were able to raise a nice donation for St. Jude.
