In the three times I've seen the movie, there are two scenes from the storybook and RGB comic that I've never seen.
There's the one with Louis trying to catch Slimer and the one after the Museum with Ray still under the influence of Vigo. After Louis fails at catching Slimer and asks Janine to dinner, he is instead asked to help her babysit Oscar.
I saw the part with Janine asking Louis for help, but it took place outside, instead of inside the firehouse. I don't remember seeing the part with Ray and the Ecto-1 at all, since I'm sure I'd remember someone getting punched in the face by Winston.
Were these in the movie when it was released in theaters? I was born a good 6 years after that, so I just want to know.

More of the deleted Ray possessed scene was used in the Coca-Cola tv commercial advertising their 'win an Ecto replica' contest. It's on youtube and on here somewhere.

I saw the movie at multiple theatres when it was out and I do not remember seeing any of the extra scenes on film. I remember seeing them in the storybook but that was it. Who knows though. Maybe the scenes were shown somewhere.

Not for nuthin' but my favorite cut scene was from the first movie. I've seen a B&W still of it back on V71's old website ( circa 1999 ) but it's never made it to any of the DVD releases which featured cut scenes. ( I think I still have that pic on my computer at home. )
The Ecto pulls up to a residential house somewhere in NYC and the busters leap out and go to work. A cop walking a beat passes the car and sees it on a red curb, writing it a ticket. As he puts it under the windshield wiper, the guns on the roof raise up, point at the ticket, burn it and then retract.
I seem to recall the scene was cut for:
1) Time. It would have been in the montage but they had already crammed about 15 minutes of footage meant for the movie into a simple 3 minute montage as it was.
2) The "guns" on the roof are really an antennae like TV trucks use and Aykroyd didn't approve of this scene because it redefined what those really were.
3) With all the cuts made in the movie they didn't have time to explain how the Ecto got its Artificial Intelligence to be able to do this.
The scenes you describe in GB2 are new to me but I could completely see those existing. Sorry I"ve never seen those.

Holy shit. I cannot understate how much time it took to find this. Over the last week I've gone through 4 hard drives and 3 CDs of data that I've burned over the years. This pic was found on a CD from 1999, taken from a guy's website whose name might be "Bill Entow" or something like that. ( His signature was signed in cursive, I can't tell what it's supposed to spell. ) Here's the cut scene of the cop writing the Ecto a ticket. Text that was included on his website, back in the day:The encounter between the policeman and the Ectomobile is the only scene in the final shooting script which suggested that the vehicle itself had some extranormal powers -- a carryover from Dan Aykroyd's initial draft in which the Ectomobile was equipped with an advanced dematerializing capability that allowed its operators, functioning somewhat outside the law, to readily elude police pursuit. Though the ticketing sequence was shot and cut into the film, it was ultimately removed because it slowed down the break-neck pace of the montage.
As the scene was written in the original draft of the script. This would have been part of the montage but was cut for time limitations:EXT. TUDOR CITY -- DAY The Ectomobile pulls up to a Gothic apartment building in the complex. The Ghostbusters jump out, end hurry into the lobby.
A POLICEMAN He notices that the Ectomobile is illegally parked and walks over to gawk at the odd vehicle.
THE ECTOMOBILE As the Policeman approaches, a set of double antennae on the roof are automatically activated. They rotate and tilt to point at the Policeman. The Policeman is a little unnerved by the antennae and starts to walk around the car, but the antennae follow him with unerring accuracy.
THE POLICEMAN Eager to get away from the vehicle, he quickly writes a parking ticket and sticks it under the windshield wiper.
THE WINDSHIELD As the Policeman withdraws his hand, the ticket heats up, bursts into flame and burns up.
THE POLICEMAN He stares at the ashes for a moment then slowly backs away from the car. Additional text on the website:"Making Ghostbusters"

Maybe AJ or someone else can confirm or debunk?

It is indeed in Making Ghostbusters. I don't think anything has ever surfaced for the scene beyond the photo and script excerpt
I think Ivan mentions it in the book as well as saying "It had already been done with Blues Brothers"(the car having mysterious abilities)

Bill Enkmov, wasn't it?
Something like that. Enkmow? I know it was one of the grandaddies of the GB world back in the day.
Good find, Bryan. I know it was like a polar expedition trying to find that thing.
I wanna say there was a clip included on the laserdisc version but my memory could be failing me.

Well done sir. Information: It's all out there somewhere, all you need is enough time to spend looking for it.
...and I don't have that time, so thank you.

I remember reading this scene on one version of the shooting script, only, when the cop puts the ticket on Ecto1's windshield, it bursts into flames and disintegrates causing the cop to freak out and run. I always thought this would have been cool as it would have implied all kinds of crazy energy in and around the car, without giving it any real A.I.

Your account is more correct than mine, that's true, that WAS what the scene called for. ( I can't explain the pic with the guns aimed at the cop, though. ) I also seem to vaguely recall a statement Ramis once made about this scene being too much like the Bluesmobile which was charged with weird energy to keep it going but without any real AI. This aspect of the Bluesmobile wouldn't be seen or understood until the release of the Directors Cut DVD where you see Elwood parking the car in the electrical breaker room.
