Has anyone of you guys tried the Ghostbusters game for Wii? I know games are usually pretty infirior to the Wii compared to the Xbox360 or PS3 but is it any good or not? I'll probably end up getting it anyways since it's Ghostbusters but I was just wondering what you guys think.

It's good - just different (in terms of game-play) from the 360 version. It has many more "puzzle" type games throughout. (I don't think I could have figured out the dancing skeletons without the guide).

Is the 360 version more action packed or?

The Wii game is fun. The controls are great, fun game play and of course good story. As Foom said Co-Op is real fun

Well - just different. The wii version is indeed action packed, don't get me wrong.
The 360 version is a more linear shooter type game. Aside from the couple of times you have to use the slime teather to open a gate or drop a bridge, you just go through blasting. (very fun btw).
The Wii version has mostly the same levels, but the layout are different. Attempting to not give anything away: Instead of linear, many levels are like mazes you have to work your way through. And you have times when you have to use multiple items on your pack to manipulate the items around you to move on. (IE: find puzzel pieces and bring them together). These type of puzzles just break up all the blasting you do through the game (of which there is still plenty to do )

I actually saw the PS3 version at Sam's Club for $10.00 Even though I don't have a PS3, I should probably pick it up.
Both versions stand on their own. The Wiimote is pretty fun to use as the neutrona wand, and the multiplayer mode is great. However, I find the "cartoony" style a bit distracting. It would have been cool if they had styled it after RGB...
AND, it has dialog missing in the 360/ps3 versions
It's not "missing dialogue", it's alternate and extended material.
If the extended material isn't in one version, that kinda falls under "missing" no? ^_^ And not to nitpick, but the audio, especially for Venkman, sounds better on this version. He sounds like he's actually trying. I have to get this game.
Dang it, Wallyworld is out of the Wii version. Now I have to go to ghettostop.

I enjoyed it and the cartoonish look didn't really bother me. what did was that it didn't feel like the movies. Still, it was almost like living out the dreams I've had since I was seven!

I'm also curious about the Wii version. Judging by what I've read here, I'm assuming I already know the answer to my specific question, but I'd rather be absolutely sure before I spend the money. So just to clarify, can anyone tell me if the game play is free-roaming (as opposed to rail shooter)?
I ask because I was disappointed to find out that a lot of the cross-platform games that I've wanted to play on my Wii ended up being lame rail shooters (think Star Fox) for the Wii but free-roaming (think Zelda) for the other systems. And I really don't want to get the game if it's a rail shooter.

Don't panic. It's a free-roaming game.

I bought the pc version when it first came out and have played through it multiple times - but I finally got the chance to play the Wii version earlier this week as my nephew got a wii for christmas and I bought the gb game for him! the controls are a little tricky since you have to point both controllers at the screen all the time and one makes him walk in the direction of wherever the other is pointing, but I really like it from the 5 minutes I played (Sedgewick level)

I just recently got my own copy of the Wii version and I'm addicted to it. A friend of mine let me borrow it since she knew I'm a huge GB fan and all. It is worth getting for any Wii player.

As the proud owner of the Wii version myself, it is worth a look. The puzzles you encounter are always fun to solve and I love collecting the Tobin's Spirt Guide pages. Also listening to different lines in the game makes it a pleasure to play again and again. I love Peter's line to Egon after Stay Puft gets destroyed and covers Times Square in Marshmallow goo. Also Winston has some really funny things to say in the museum level when it is just you (The Rookie GB) and him.
