My wife was generous enough to lend me her camera phone tonight to put up some pics of my most recent project. I love MattyCollector, but they were taking a little too long on bringing me a PKE meter. After feeling inspired by Captcyan, I decided to make my own, and as you all know I'm pretty fond of the RGB style.

I'm making enough for my figures, and could make more if there is an interest.

I think I need to use a thinner paint. The meter doesn't look THAT clumpy in person.

More tests with molding. Maybe even an EGB PKE...

For those who don't know, casting small parts like this one is a real pain in the ass.

You, sir, deserve a :crunch:

Please put me down on your list for two of those meters.

The paint looks good. It's the close-up pictures that make it look "clumpy" because you are magnifying the meter by about 4 or 5 times it's origional size.

Thanks fellas! Gravedigger, I got all my materials from a company called smooth-on. The original PKE that I made the mold from was just modeling Plastic card and assorted sizes of tubing.

Scott, truly awesome. I would love to have one for my RGB Egon as well as my Mattel one.

Freakin' awesome! That is well done, indeed! What kind of paint are you using? If it's Citadel paint you can thin it by adding a few drops of water, makes a huge difference on how smoothly it applies.

Thanks all! I guess that settles it, as soon as I can pull some decent molds I'll offer them up for sale. I'll be offering either painted or unpainted with the emphasis being placed on unpainted just due to the time and there's a certain pride that comes in when you see your own meter and think, "I did that. I made that look good". Not to mention that I'd want these to be cheap for us as fans. But painting takes time, and thus a higher price. :P

PeteVenkman_Jedi, indeed I am still using the old Citadel Paints from my Real Ghostbusters Minimates that you advised me on. I tried out the water idea today and it works like a charm. Thanks again mate!

Do these come pre painted? If not I'll gladly pay extra because I nor anyone I know has ever done any customising before, and I'm sure that if I did it they would turn out terrible.

The envelopes will be for sale as well. I'm currently working on a briefcase that's intended to go out with the envelopes as an accessory pack for Peck. Or the "Peck Pack". If you can't wait though, I'd be fine with parting with one or two early.
