Me and BusterBrown decided to add to the arsenal this year so he could join into the GB fun... here's a 90% complete pic of the slimeblower... sorry for the pic quality, my camera was dead as a hammer... progress pics to come!

Ok, as promised, I have been able to recover some of the progress pics from my defunct camera. Some of them got lost however so I don't have too many. We based a lot of our aesthetics on Zack's slime blower, which is a fantastic model to go by. We took all of the plans in the reference section and kinda used our own judgment on some parts. It may not be screen accurate, but hey, we're happy with it! This is our reference and schematic book... very nice to have within arms reach This is how it all started... we bought a construction form from Lowe's and some bowls from the Dollar Tree and pulled out the Dremel... We left one end flat so we could mount it pretty easily to the motherboard and battery box This is the part that sucked the most... if anyone has never tried to make a rounded joint with bondo, I suggest you try it... major pain in the ass... after a while we got the hang of it though. Since all of the electronics are going to be externally wired, we closed in the main tank on both ends. We used a similar technique for the smaller tanks, but used PVC endcaps with their OD matching our tank body's ID... after we got the angle right for the dome, we just used bondo to seal it up and sanded it into form. My buddy BusterBrown had this routed at work for his motherboard... I think it came out pretty good... sure beats having to build one out of wood and it was FREE lol Neither of us are carpenters by any means, but we constructed the left discharge and both of the gold boxes out of 1/4" basswood... really easy to work with and the grain isn't too bad on it. Sadly, this poor lookin box is the only progress pic I have of the wooden phase of construction... a little dab of body filler and some sanding and it turned out really sharp. More to come...

I'm amazed at how it came together! Can't wait for more pics of the finished product!

looks awesome. I always love seeing slime blower build pictures too! I'm still flattered that people like my slime blower. It's literally sitting here collecting dust. Would have loved to get out to PKE Surge with it again. I keep saying I'm gonna fix some stuff up on mine but I haven't touched it in a long time. Awesome work again!

Thanks everybody. @keoni, that tube light is awesome in person... it gives a wild lookin glow that can only be appreciated in person... was trying to finish the powercell today and my soldering iron got snatched through my grip so I'm nursing a nasty 2nd degree burn on my paw right now. Good news is I'm a paramedic so I spent 30 minutes at the ER and was taken care of without waiting due to knowing everyone on duty LOL Here's some more pics... my buddy is a graphic designer so he used the decals we found on here (credit to??? not exactly sure who give it to since he did the searching for them) and a couple we used poetic license with. Still missing some components, but we had to start placing some decals... it inspires and improves moral right? lol The light fixtures on top of the small tanks are actually PVC plumbing fittings (a 90 degree elbow for the base and a reducer). we mounted to the tanks by cutting discs that matched the ID of the elbow and running a screw through it at the tank dome's apex. we then used screws through the sides to secure the fitting to the disc. This method gave us a horizontal axis for beam adjustment. Busterbrown wanted to show a little "I love NY" spirit... the symbol of "something good, something decent, and something pure"... Libby LOL If you also notice on the gold box, the circle patterns aren't actually holes at all, they're vinyl decals. Of course, you've got to label your equipment so it isn't lost in multi franchise operations Light box works... vent decals to make it look busy The black domes on the cross bar beneath the lights are actually battery powered iPod speakers we found in WalMart for $5. They put out like a prom queen too LOL Wanted to show how bright 3 dollar trick or treat flashlights can be after converting them to slime blower flood lamps LOL We snatched the LED bulb assembly out, wired leads up to the spring and ring to a single switch in parallel and mounted the switch under the left discharge box. This was taken with all the lights on inside at midday, More to come... gonna try to get some good shots of the gun tomorrow

Glad you guys are diggin the blower... just got my camera operational again so I will do my best to get some good shots of everything with the electronics working. Had to kinda step back due to my grandmother passing away, but things are starting to settle back down so I can get started propping again. Should have an update very soon!
