The awards may not be until tonight, but we've already got the video of Bill Murray accepting his award for Best Cameo in Zombieland at the 2010 Scream Awards on Spike TV.
The flight suit was made by Sony for the promotion of Ghostbusters: The Video Game in 2008, the Proton Pack was made by Ghostbusters Fan Sean Bishop during filming of the pilot for L.A. Propper. Bill Murray coyly says during his acceptance speech, "I'm sorry, I don't mean anything by this. It was just all that was left that was clean.". Fans will no doubt still see this as a potential sign that Ghostbusters 3 could be happening.

Awesome! Kudos to Sean for getting his pack worn by the great one himself. BM hefted that pack onto his back like a seasoned pro, no help from PA's or anything. Booyah!
Probably that he is doing GB3. It's the only thing that makes sense. After all, else why would he have done this and also voices for a video game a year ago?

Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal probability of GB3 happening. Based on this morning's sample, it would be a Twinkie... thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

You know what's odd? In the cell phone videos, they were blaring the GB theme on stage when Bill was up there. In this broadcast, they didn't play it. I wonder if it had something to do with copyright crap.

I can think of one way to make that Twinkie disappear.

god damn! bill just knows he holds the key to all things ghostbusters , he must love getting the buzzzz from the fans and just being a plain hypebeast.
just imagine if all four guys came up from the floor and they did a tiny GB capture. The fans are ready for the third and we know the guys can strap on the packs one last time , i dont even care if its the beginning scene and we dont see them busting ever again. Its plain obvious stantz zeddemore and venkman are ready to go!

"Do you have any regrets?" "Maybe Garfield."
I presume Bill was poking fun at himself in Zombieland and extending the gag in this venue.
The producers of that film probably chose to play up Ghostbusters so the prized teenager/college demographic would instantly recognize who he was... it's his most famous role, I suspect more often than not to his chagrin. Coming out wearing the gear seems like a riff on that marketing decision more than confirmation of a third movie.
But hey. He must also enjoy the audience response -- to say nothing of Sarah Silverman's expression after he thanked her. And hell if it wasn't great to see him in uniform again.

Maybe as he's getting older, he's realizing that Peter Venkman is going to be the one big role that people remember him for. Well, that and Phil Connors from Groundhog Day. And he doesn't have a cool costume.
I mean people who are the age I was when Ghostbusters and GBII came out don't know him from anything else. High schoolers and young 20somethings may know him from other stuff but I think Peter Venkman is gonna go down as his signature role. All things considered, it's a fantastic thing to be remembered for.
