Hey GB Fans,

Some of you might remember me from years ago when I was building GB props. I certainly remember AJ. While I'm still into building stuff, I've gravitated away from full 1:1 props and started doing 1/6 scale figures. But all that prop research many moons ago certainly helped with this project.

I did a custom 1/6 Ray and Containment Unit. I wasn't super happy with the quality of the Mattel figure, although the equipment was pretty good. So I repainted and reworked the pack, trap, and goggles and scrapped the rest except for a few little odds and ends. The containment unit is completely scratch-built. Enjoy:

Ryan, that is by far the BEST 12" figure I have ever seen.

Everything you do is gold in my book.

Beautiful, that containment unit looks so sharp in detail that it pretty much looks 1:1 scale. Your work to this day is some of the best in GB propping history and this come back post is just a friendly reminder of that :-).

Thanks, folks. Ghostbusters is still my favorite film of all time and will always have a special place in my heart. Maybe I'll have to do a 1/6 scale Ecto 1 one of these days

This would be the amazing quality we'd get if Hot Toys was doing the 12" figures. Yeah they'd be 2 times the cost, but it'd easily be worth it.

Do you have any wip images of how you build the containment unit, and what parts you used? (Like the top ribbon cable, and the steel power cables?

This definitely looks amazing. Very nice work.

And to the person who asked if he looks like Jeff Dunham's "Walter"... I can totally see what you mean!

I'm an idiot, and your comparison is fair. :)

Words are just words. Sorry I hurt your feelings.

Compliment the man's work instead.

Insanely AMAZING playskool! Amazing! Your attention to detail and paint apps demand much respect! The containment unit it a true piece of art. I gotta ask a few questions...

1. Is that an Elwood Blues Aykroyd head sculpt? Is so, you've painted it incredibly well!
2. Where did you get the flight suit and pistol belt? They are the best I've seen yet.
3. I've seen similar boots, but none with zippers! Are the zips custom?
4. How did you find or create such small patches?
5. Are the gloved hands custom? If not, from which figure did they come?
6. Love the work on the elbow pads. How did you pull those off so well?

Again, you've done an OUTSTANDING job on both pieces, sir. You must be proud! :D
