Ghostbusters™ Fans,

For all the Ghostbusters™ fans in the US, we’re bringing you a prop replica of the PKE Meter that’s as film-accurate as possible. For countries in Europe, there are stricter regulations on product warnings so we had to make a tough decision: put lots of warnings all over it and compromise the accuracy, or restrict shipping. It was hard because we love our fans in Europe, too, but in the end we decided to make it as film-accurate as possible. Here are the countries that can’t accept shipment:

* Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Great Britain.

We are sorry this means that it can't ship to Europe, and we are hoping fans in the US appreciate the effort we made to bring them an awesome product.

you guys shouldn't be complaining about Mattel, you should be complaining about your stupid country's regulations.

Those things are a pain to find over here in the states.

not really a reason at all. those of you from the uk who are on good terms with members from the us may be able to finagle one out of them at cost. im sure plenty of you have american friends just itching to help you out, then again...you all do such a great job at isolating yourselves from the community at large by your massive complaining bubble(appearing when there's something to complain about, disappearing when there isnt), i wouldnt be surprised you may run into some troubles.

to an american getting 3, you're sweating the small stuff.

The subject of the electronics had come with them a couple of weeks back, and at the time they didn't see any problems arising... and from their account, it sounds like the requirements would've involved warning labels... which they opted out of for a "more screen accurate product". If all they had to do really consisted of warning labels, then I feel they could've made that small sacrifice to meet the import demands.

It was not EVERY country's stupid regulations. It also involves a shipping country's shipping regulations as well as the receiving end's regulations as well.

Electronics are shipped to and from Finland every day without a hitch. Mattel made the decision to restrict this to the US markets and now they are saying that they cannot ship ot to some countries, and therefore they will not send it in ANY of them!! Now THAT is bullshit. They made the decision when they BEGAN to make these!!! Why not inform it back then! Next thing we hear thet they CAN ship to Europe, but with additional export fees...

Many of us are on the good terms with you guys in the US, but a week is a little too short to get everyone on track with these...

its not a case of not wanting to be less screen accurate, they just didn't want the logistics of having to produce labels for any other language than English, and since America is the home country with the "easiest" laws to comply with, then they have copped out and gone with a restricted sale

I've been a member here a couple of years now. I check in almost everyday and see what's been happening. There's only so much to say which is relevant. I have never isolated myself from this community. All you seem to do is piss members of this community off on a regular basis. It's like you get some sort of kick out it. That's all I have to say about that.

A) Many folks in the U.K. are screwed.
B) Those eBay scalpers are going to make a fortune off the U.K. folks.
C) U.S. based users (AJ perhaps??) offer to help these folks out.
