Look - I'm a little sick and tired of seeing posts about Dr. Who around the forum. It's a stupid show, and when I read these posts it makes me want to become physically ill.

I have restrained myself from posting in these threads so far, but I'm not sure if I can further contain my rage and anger at this silly television program and lowly people who watch it.

I think it should be banned from GBFans, and if it isn't I'll start trolling those threads. Because it's not like I should have to avoid threads that are obviously about something I dislike.

so don't read those posts if you dont like the show. its simple.

Well, for some, the Dr.Who trend was utterly annoying. I know you guys thought it was hilarious, but seeing umbrellas and bowlers plastered everywhere made me want to hurt him.

And you shouldn't be. My satire obviously has gone over some peoples' heads and others have took it the wrong way. But the fact remains that what I have said is very poignant.

People have different tastes - and if a person's taste is different that is cool. That's not a permit to go state said dissatisfaction in every thread possible.

I'm very glad you replied Fritz, because you give me a very specific example. You and I disagree about Egon/Janine/Louis. Yet I don't go into your fanfiction threads and comment negatively. When I see a post about Egon/Janine, I ignore it. I ignore certain users(not you). And if I ever did such a thing, I'd expect you to be rightfully angry at me.

People who hate Dr. Who, can just not read those threads. People who hate Boxxy can just not read those threads. Of course when you go in with guns blazing you are going to be challenged with opposing views. And really - anyone interested in helping out the community CAN FIND MORE PRODUCTIVE OUTLETS FOR THEIR TIME IN POSTING. There are countless threads on this website that could use some good, fresh discussion - yet I see users contributing little to them but raising a fuss because certain cross-sections of the community find something silly to be funny. Heck, I thing the "Nice Job You Did" thing is insane - but I don't have to read that thread. I can't get along with PeterVenkmanJedi, so he's on ignore.

If we are going to stratify ourselves as a community and have a tight spectrum of suitable viewpoints, then I need to ban 80% of the website for being liberal communists who hate America and more importantly hate Ghostbusters 2.

I'd like to second what Ron has said here. I will admit, I really can't get into Dr. Who, I'm not sure what it is, but something about just dosn't jive with me. I simply avoid the threads as they do not intrest me.
