Hey guys!

Remember that strainge mix of the theme we all heard in the wii version of the Ghostbusters video game trailer last year? well...

I just grabbed this and thought i'd share, its from the new Ghostbusters - Sanctum of Slime website.

Turns out Ray Parker rerecorded the theme for the game/anniversary but they seem to be only getting around to using it now...

I dig. His voice could be mixed in a bit better, but I appreciate the effort to make the song sound fresh.

The vocal mix could be better, but it's a great new version!

Hmmmm, it doesn't seem to be as good as the original, not just for cultural reasons ...

If you listen to it with cans on Ray sounds to clear, like they just dubbed him over the remix.

Its naff!

Yeah me to, I already have the original on it and I don't hear much of a difference.

the main difference i can hear is the lack of reverb...the original had a very slight reverb and it gave the song some depth. this version is still good, sounds a bit different- a bit more stiff. glad there was enough interest to re-record the original. vocals are a bit difference, but at least ray parker jr still sounds pretty much the same 25 years later!
