Very cool stuff.. Can't wait to see it when it's all done.
One of these days I'm going to get to theming the rest of our house (only have a pirate themed poker room at the moment) and really want to do some techie stuff in our front prop room..

This is inspiring me to turn a very small rectangular storage room into Elwood's room.

Any more updates on the room? Looks awesome so far.

Another thing what are the dimensions of the GB logo bank? I was thinking of the same thing with installing a light and using it as a sign.

hello! long time eh? sorry i haven't been posting any updates, but the room keeps getting pushed back. plus, the fact that the room is now functional, i've just been lazy and haven't done the detail work.

so this is a "MINI" update. i've noticed that my collection of gb stuff keeps growing. and the thing that takes up the most space are my minimates. i had a space under my last shelf in the shadow box but if you look back at the pictures you can see that the staircase gets in the way and i cant get a shelf in. but!! i can get 2 mini shelfs just big enough to hold the minimates so they stop hogging up all the other shelves!

here is a picture after about 2 coats of paint and also a lot of taping. there were a lot of tiny patches and spots to fill.
Image
not to spend so much time on shelves but it was such a pain if you guys only knew how NOT level the walls in this room are. it take so much extra time doing each thing

next on the list for this room is a little mural work and also i have something in special in store for the window. the next update will be in january.

Have you considered finishing those shelves off? Maybe painting them.. or using laminated shelf material? Its only a few dollars at Home Depot.

Yes aj I have, and the same goes for the couch frame. But I'm waiting until I choose what fabric I'm gonna use and what painting I will add to the walls so that the "stain" will blend well with it.

sorry for not posting this earlier.. i took out the carpet right from the get go with the demo and i did alot of the work and one of the jobs i did was the carpet. i added some padding and laid down some charcoal grey carpet to mimic the cobble stone color of the floor. but i never posted pictures of it so here they are.

i dont have any close ups of the color or pattern but i picked it up at my local home depot and will post a picture of it later. the color of the carpet is perfect without the green tint

Wow, just found this thread. This room is incredible. You got me thinking about some good ideas for my future man cave. Your lighting is just over the top. I"m looking forward to seeing more updates.
