Not sure if that's actual MSRP though. Other 1:43 scale Hot Wheels Elite cars seem to be going for $35 - $40 online, so the BBTS is probably a good indicator of the MSRP. But some 1:18 Elites, like the Dark Knight Batmobile, are going for around $70. So hopefully that $114.99 is way off the mark. Either way, I'll be forking over the cash for this 1:43 Ecto-1 for sure.

But if you want to be impressed go over to the minimate toy line as they are doing the ghosts from RGB. Now that is impressive.

SMH at myself. After years of collecting and prop building retirement, I just caught up in all the hotwheel/matty collector merch.. Gonna have to hit the resellers on ebay and pay ridiculous prices. But ALAS, its good to be back.

This does look nice. Remember, this is only a prototype, so it may not be 100% accurate to the version we actually get. Still, that much detail in a small size is quite amazing.
But I do want to say that the Joy Ride version kicks all kinds of ass. I am not sure why so many people seem to be shitting on it. I don't see any real difference here. Maybe I will get my Joy Ride Ecto-1 out and compare it to these pictures to see what everyone sees that I do not. However, I think this is just a case of fans wanting the newest thing and thinking it's better than everything that came before just because it is the latest...whether or not it is truly the greatest. We'll see. But I'm very happy with the Joy Ride version.

The Joy Ride version is not a piece of shit. Stop being an insufferable asshole. I am not a troll. I am a fan of the franchise just like you. So stop running fans out of here by being such a prick. If we can't get along with one another in this "fan" community, then what's the f****g point. So chill out and realize that we're all here because we're fans. No one is trying to piss you off. The only major difference I see here...in picture to actual car comparisons, is that there is more shit on the top of the car. What is the price of the Hotwheels version? I don't recall what I paid for the Joy Ride version, but I suspect it was $20-$30. I'm content with what I have, but I may fork over some cash if this is truly an improvement.

I think it is important to point out that this is 1/43 Scale not the 1/18 Scale that the Joyride was. Its WAY smaller... and if it has any of the details they have put into the prototype.. then it will be amazing. Heck the regular Hotwheels is almost more detailed than the Joyride was.

Did the initial post not say there is a 1/18 or 1/21 scale version coming? I thought one pic was the 1/43 and the other was the 1/18? I was being polite until everyone started flaming me for saying the Joy Ride version is not a piece of shit. And then whats-his-face said I must be a "troll" or an "insufferable asshole" just for having an opinion. Maybe people here need to be more considerate of other fans. I rarely visit these boards. So the members here didn't do much to welcome an outsider. These boards aren't as friendly as other boards I am a member of in the community. These boards are for all fans. I don't get why so many "fans" are so eager to piss on other fans. We're all here because we share something we love. I'd rather come in here and share opinions and ideas rather than be blasted by the elite members on the boards. The Joy Ride version was the best we had at a large scale. Is it 100% accurate. No. But I think it is pretty nice. I'm actually very content with mine. And you know, I didn't pay an exorbitant price for it like Matty Collector charges. It just doesn't matter that much to me. If it does to you, that's fine. I hope the Hotwheels version is better. I used to be an avid Hotwheels collector. So I'm eager to see their version. And if it's THAT good and a reasonable price, I may buy one.

with this level of accuracy on the 1/43 i'll gladly pay 120.00 for a 1/18 scale.
