As stated above I've been toying with an idea for something different to the movie uniforms *shields face and genitals from incoming projectiles*.
Basically I'd get a black flight suit, maybe a Rothco *shields face and genitals from incoming projectiles* to keep costs down for this secondary uniform and slap the below patch on. So this:

With this on it:

I'd probably go with more of a GBII style namepatch, or perhaps something a bit different again. The black and yellow scheme would make the trap and LifeGard pop.
I don't really like uniforms that look too clean and shiny and neat because that's not what GB is to me, but as a secondary this one would look pretty cool I think.
If I had to call it something I guess I'd say it was more of a hazmat response uniform, like those heavy-duty clean up guys in Men in Black.
Easy, cheap and effective. You like?

I dig where you're going with this. Anyway to make the caution strips cleaner?

I'm glad to see AJ's design is making everyone but him money.

Nice "GBProps" knock off logo patch.

Hrmmm... Indeed, though i dont think the op knew of the designs origins when he thought this up,

I will admit to always loving the design though and i would totally buy a patch if aj ever offered them at some point

Been done.

And frankly, it looks silly.

Yeah I didn't know it came from you AJ, I'd be happy to buy it from you if you have some...gotta respect.
And Some_Guy yeah I don't want to look bee-ish...so I'm thinking about making it subtler than those guys' uniforms. It'll need some tweaking but I'm doing it anyhow. Thanks for posting that pic...definitely not doing the yellow name patches or belt or anything...

why does everyone like to deviate from a recipe that's already tried and true?

Well I've got the classic GB1 uniform, and as a secondary I thought I'd like to have something a bit fresh. It could be worse, I could be trying to militarise the uniform...

You should do the Ghostbusters story board costume.

I bought lots of the stuff to do it, but never followed through.

Image

The way I see it is as a all black costume with a black helmet.

As far as those patches go.. they are like 1" in diameter and made by (I think) HawaiianGB... but someone has ripped them off from him and been selling them. Its GBProps old logo.

Ah cool AJ I've not seen that artwork. I've always thought how cool it would be to do a COPS style GB fan film.
Well I went ahead and bought the patch from that site, before I knew who designed it...so out of white guilt I got a gold membership here (but mostly because of how much/often I use this site as a resource)...justice I think.

The GB1 & 2 DVD set has a booklet featuring the storyboards for most of the hotel scene, giving a pretty clear version of those uniforms (should you go that route with your uniform). I believe there was a member on here who had done the storyboard uniform at some point...

My take on the original concept gear:

Hope to improve on it in the future. Always open to new uniform ideas. After working on the same idea for years, you occasionally crave something new.

I was wondering if you have pictures of the "wand". Great uniform, but I curious on the wand.
