Yeah you do, up close, in the cut scenes. Fairly frequently too.

I think if fans and Matty customers raise a big enough fuss about the Rookie's pack, Mattel will change it. Look at what happened with the prototype for Slimerblower Winston. Fans saw the figure and immediately pointed out that the slimetanks were too small and he didn't have the harness. Mattel eventually listened to the fans and made the figure more accurate.

Hopefully fans show the same support for the Rookie figure.

Rookie figure: Awesome!
Taxi ghost: Awesome!
Vigo figure: Awesome!

Well played, Mattel, you've definitely nailed it this time (to the point where you even got me to buy the Club Ecto-1 subscription).

I wonder how extensive that Firehouse diorama is, it almost appears to have a 3D sign, but I can't tell for certain... can't wait to see a closer photo.

And I cannot wait to have the Rookie, he'll be an awesome addition to the group. If anyone's getting Club Ecto-1 2011, but doesn't want their Rookie figure, could you drop Ryan French a line? Bet he'd get a kick out of having one.

I love almost all of it and thanks Vince for the pics! Really stoked about the trap now with those extra details. Only thing I'm not happy with is the Rookie's pack. I was really hoping for more there. He's true to the look at the start of the game and the basic pack is cool of course; I was just hoping for a "fully loaded" version.

Freaking SAMHAIN! I'm gonna have to start getting retros.

I gotta agree about the rookie's pack I hope they at least give him the slime blower attachment just to set him apart from the regular ghostbusters

Looks like I'll be getting at least one of the retro figures this year and of course vigo

Never really was a fan of the slime blower so Rays definitely out but egon and peter will be a must to go along with ray

Guys guys guys. The Rookie cannot have the videogame pack. Why? Because with him wearing the basic pack, Mattel can then make and sell the additional 5 figures to us with the videogame pack.

Ever seen the Wii version?...girls may not be left out down the line.

For once, I have no complaints about how Mattel is goin on with this line. How they're dickin' with the DC Universe on the other hand... :boogieman:

Don't forget the other GB:TVG details. The walkie, flashlight, modified lifegard, the circuit board, a green leg hose (to make him unique)
Add that to the upgraded trap and pack and I would gladly give up the pack-in ghost.

what would be really cool would be if they added a proton stream, Boson Darts, Shock Blast, Stasis Stream, Meson Collider, Slime Blower, and Slime Tether attachments for the neutrona wand, but thats probably asking for tooo much.

Sweet!!!! $120 for the Ghost Trap. Just barely in my range. I'm assuming they didn't mention a release date, but did they mention when they will start pre-orders? I can't misse this one like I did the PKE meter.

Mattel has never, and will never, do preorders. The trap will have an on sale date (as of now around Halloween 2011) and when they're gone, they're gone.

I'll be getting the trap and Vigo, perhaps Dana if it's more than just a static statue. The Rookie does nothing for me. I'd be fine if the game stuff was left out of the line, but if you guys like it, great. I'll just spend my money on the trap and Vigo.

Ah ok. So I just got to keep an eye out on it. Gotcha. I'll schedule the day off if I have to so I don't forget lol.

So the Taxi Driver Ghost doesn't have a lower half? I know we never saw it in the movie, but come on.

Personally i think they've only done the top half to play it safe, they won't have had any source material for a lower half, and the actual ghost was a puppet and never had a lower half so if they did one it would be all artistic license....and you know people would then complain they are making up stuff that doesn't exist then

it works fine as it is

and as for having no legs, means it can't drive a taxi

its a ghost....its not real it could have moved the taxi pedals by esp who knows

I dont think they should make gozer considering you can get one online for around $30 shipped.

Dana comes with a second set of legs so you can have her as a normal figure on on the sculpted base with legs!

I'm pretty excited for everything yet to be released. I think the firehouse with the retro 2 pack looks pretty sweet.

yes that firehouse is a good scale for the 6" figures too, I will def. be picking this up, my nephew can have janine and samhain. great news about dana! I would've been fine with her posed on the slab, but so cool that she can be posed standing up too

Dana....can't wait!!!!!

Pack-in ghosts are great(even though i wish some were bigger single carded figs).

Rookie, a joke to me, absolutely no interest.

Too bad no other Scoleri, but at the same time the first brother was terrible with no flight stand. Skipped it anyway. The brothers need a proper 2 pack!

Can't wait for the retro set as well! Fine with it being canceled, but it would have been nice if we at least got Louis and Stay Puft though(especially since puffy is on the packaging), along with a couple other ghosts as well as office Janine.

Do the new 12" Ghostbuster 2packs include all the accessories we were shown at Toyfair as well as streams? If so, gettin those too!!!! FINALLY this line is getting exciting :boogieman:

I just found some good new pics of some of the upcoming items:

Image
The rookie looks a LOT like GBmatt to me.
Image
Dana might be a statue, but the sculpt looks near perfect to me.
Image
All the ghost sculpts (other than slimer) are all very well done!

The rest can be found here:
