Silly question I'm sure, and probably flame bait, but is there anyone around that just uses work coveralls as a GB uniform?

Granted they are most deffinately not screen accurate, but they add a sense of fun and creativity (and individuality ala RGB) to the mix.

Plus, after recently browsing into another forum, someone reinforced the idea that the GBs are exterminators, the uncommon workman...I know I wouldn't want to ruin up something so spiffy when getting down and dirty. :P :walterpeck:

Dickies coveralls aren't bad at all. They even have diagonal breast pockets, and the zippers are actually brass. I had a light gray one as my first uniform. I don't think they make Khaki, I know my local store didn't sell'em in Khaki. I'd suggest get a gray pair of coveralls, and dye them khaki. It would make a pretty nice uniform.

My first suit was a set of mechanics coveralls from Redkap. Worked awesome and looked great. I did upgrade to a TruSpec for accuracy purposes but I loved my RedKap. Lots of good sizing options.

My buddy who's 6'4" can't fit into a flight suit so his suit is a khaki K&H Walls coverall. It's has brass slanted chest pockets and is about the price as a Truspec. With the patches, belt pads and pack it looks the part.

UFO, he normally wears a 3x shirt and needed a 4x flightsuit. Rothcos are the only brand that goes up that far and need substantial tailoring to fix the ridiculously low chest pockets. That and we were short on time. ;)

Here's a pic of the red kap grey suit we use here at gb texoma. This is the beginning of the mark 2 suit, gonna be doing some accents in black. But you can see, it's got the diagonal zippers an feels a lot sturdier. I'm with you on the idea that they're exterminators. I like seeing anyone who's not doing a character specific reproduction have some originality to their fit

I second the Walls. I'm 6'7" (and only 190 lbs) and their extra tall and thin coveralls was a really good fit for the price. Plus they look ok, and were reasonably priced...
