I think tights give a more professional look and keeps you warm depending on where you are, weather wise.

From my perspective it doesnt matter if it is sexy GB or Pro-GB, it is putting the brand out there and keeping the fan love alive. Perhaps even gaining new fans.

I've watched this thread for a while now, just taking in all the different looks, the good and bad, and I guess fortune has smiled on me.

I'm pretty happy to say that my girlfriend's now considering getting the Dickies Girl Annie Zipper dress, potentially in time for 2012's Boston St. Pat's Day Parade! This thread is primarily to thank for that!

I'll keep you posted on further developments!

Where are people buying the authentic womens flight and/or the skirted flight suit (not the crappy pre-made Halloween costume one)? I've checked the Army Navy surplus store here in Denver & all they ever seem to have is the standard variety.

I think the original ones are simply the coolest and most ppl will recognize them as GB.
I got one today and I think they look great on women as long as they arent oversized. :whatever:

Agreed NessaSan, and they do make jumpsuits for woman as well if you want to go more that route but I think simple little changes here and there adds just the right amount of lady GBness. Like a ladies black shirt under the suit or high top boots stuff like that.

I am glad I found this thread... I am currently building my own femme GB suit and I have gone with the Dickies Girl zipper dress. I think it does a good job at showing the professionalism of the GB business but still has that nice girly flare to it without being super revealing or anything like that.

As much as I like wearing sexy costumes at cons, I decided to do a normal flight suit and t-shirt. I think it looks just fine, kind of cute like Kaylee from Firefly (and I'm working on another version that actually IS her coveralls in GB khaki).

I know, nothing special, but I don't think I look terrible.

I'm liking that one-piece suit from one of the early posts in this thread. I may get one of those eventually.

But meh. I'm comfortable walking around cons in itty-bitty skirts too, so it's not a matter of that. Anyway, I'd say women shouldn't feel any pressure to wear sexy GB uniforms. I get a lot of guys at cons telling me they're happy to see a woman NOT doing a sexy uniform because they like the idea of a woman in a flight suit. But really, when I'm a Ghostbuster, I'm doing it for myself, not someone else's pleasure. There are other costumes for that.

Aww, thankies! Seeing as Demon Vice Commander just finished a second pack, I'll be wearing the old one and finally get a pack with the uniform. I've been looking forward to it since we started this project.
