So I made a Spirit Guide ( http://www.gbfans.com/fans/props/other/5695/ )

I aged the pages using the tea and oven trick when the pages were loose, but I'm not too happy with how some of them turned out. Is there another way I can age them now that they are bound without effecting the pages I do like?

Thanks! It started out as just something to carry around while in costume and it snowballed from there.

Things like the zombies and ghosts were printouts, but the scribble, symbols, circular pictures, and the cover were all hand drawn.

Yeah, you've earned it. You should think of scanning those and post them for the rest of us too...

What kind of info did u put in there? I wanted to make one too. The original tobins has alot of stuff, but i thought it would be fun to add to it and put in some of the stuff form the game and cartoons. I would loove to check out the one made.

There isn't any actual info. It was originally just a quic prop full of squigggly lines instead of words. Then I got bored and started making symbols, diagrams, and better looking squiggley lines

How many yea bags did you use? How long did the paper sit? I aged paper with my students for a revolutionary war project. We crumbled the paper and opened it to make creases before putting it in the tea. I left it in the tea overnight and just let it air dry. Turned out a little darker and the crinkle looked good. Not sure if you would want the crinkle though. I did it to get the parchment paper feel.

We also burned some of the edges of the paper for effect. Have to say though, you should be proud of you guide. Looks great!

Thanks! I actually cooked my paper. I had 2 tea bags in a cup, but kept refilling the cup with more water and tea when I needed too. I spread the tea water on the paper and put it in the oven at 250 for 6 minutes. I put te cover on during a break at work. My stuents thought I was reading a legit old book.
