I saw these really cool looking guns at Toys R Us on clearance ($11) that produce real foam and come with these bubble holster things... I got inspired to build my first GB prop - a slime gun with a slime grenade! I have my RGB Pink Janine jumpsuit coming in the mail so wanted to have something cool for con season in case my attempt at building a RGB pack is awful :p Hit the link for the pics of the progress...

The handles I added brown suede grips to give it a more 3D feel, the slime is done with green glass paint, the yellow and black sticker on the side and the pipe on the bottom were picked up at home depot..

The attachment on the bottom I added is going to have a hose connected to some kind of slime tank...I'm thinking a 2 liter bottle redone to look cool...

Hope you enjoy!!!!

A 3 liter bottle might look nicer, since that size is a little less common. (Dollar stores usually have those larger bottles of soda)

Or walmart has bottled water in smooth tall narrow bottles. You could possibly put two or three of them together.

If you wanted "slime" in them, you could use apple hand gel from Big Lots (its already green) or use a combo of other colors and/or clear. Shake it up, and you'll have the bubbles in it again if they all surface over time.

(Adding some of the very fine powdery complimentary colored glitter adds an interesting effect as well.)

You really should post your photos here, instead of just linking to that website, so people can glance at them quickly if they like.

Unfortuantely, it looks like images hosted there cannot be linked to display here. (You could upload them here, or to facebook or photobucket for alternative hosting options.)

The only thin I dislike about the gun, is lack of diverse hardware details. You could possibly add a few leds, or even fake light covers, switches or whatnot. Maybe repaint that hose barb hookup in brass or aluminum paint, so it looks like its made of metal, and use the actual slime blower or proton gun for ideas?

I agree it could do with a couple of LEDS, dials or labels, but I'm loving the RGB look :)

Thanks for the feedback guys! I tweaked a couple of things as per your suggestions and I wanted to share with you!

I still have to paint the back coupling and also repaint the bottom one as well to make it all blue...Though I may take the suggestion of painting it aluminum, I think that'd look ace! I bought a black hose to put in the back coupling and I wrapped it around the clear slime one that's in the bottom coupling and secured it with a zip tie. I also added knobs and switches. I have a red square button switch i'm going to add to the other side with the caution tape and I also am going to find a label for the bottom of it :) I bought Apple Blossom White Rain shampoo because the color is so green and slimeish and pretty, lol :p I need to figure out a way to attach the 3 liter bottle via coupling? without the risk of spillage...I think i'm going to let the gun hang off my belt and let the hoses wrap around my back and attach to the bottle on the other side of the belt.

Thoughts? Also, thoughts on how to make the 3 liter bottle not look like I just finished cola and wanted to make a quick prop? Labels or? YAY! You guys have been so helpful. I am also in the process of assembling my Janine costume which I'll post as well.

That is so cool. Never would have thought of something like that. Nice work.

Wow, that shampoo idea takes me back...

My very first Ghostbusters costume, which was slapped together in just a few hours back in October of '86, we were really lacking in accurate props.

But I poured some translucent green Prell into a clear acrylic case for electrical tape that strongly resembled a lidded Petri dish, and BANG we had slime specimens.
