3 friendly GBfan guys up here in Toledo. Wished I had seen more of the board members when the movie was showing late last year. Hoping maybe to get the Maumee theatres to do the movie later on this year.

Can we lock this thread since this is a thread from 2010? It's already two+ years old and no new updated events.

Tsukeru,

The Ohio groups don't usually do cons together unless its a really big event and even then it's because the teams just happened to be there at the same time. I'm not sure why this was created in the first place because all that was listed was events for The Columbus Ghostbusters. Most groups have their own agendas and own list of events. My group for example already has events for spring. we're going to hit a few cons and have a few birthday parties, stuff like that.

The known teams in Ohio:

The Real Ohio Ghostbusters or the Dayton/Springfield group
The Columbus Ghostbusters
The Southeast Ohio Ghostbusters
The Cleveland Ghostbusters

Any of you Cincy guys form a group yet?

The cincy group only exists on paper...shame though considering Cincy is home to the only screen accurate Ecto-1 in the midwest.

The Real Ohio Ghostbusters isn't just Dayton and Springfield... We have members from Cincinati (3), Dayton (3), Springfield (2), Xenia (1), Columbus (1) and Cleveland (3)..

Saddly, with different work schedules, we don't attend many cons up north, mostly in the Dayton, Cincinnati and Northern KY and Indianapolis areas, if our schedules can work around them..

Mike, most of your team is in the Dayton/Springfield area that's why I referred to it as the Dayton group. It's easier to identify you guys to the lay person.

Just joined and currently getting my gear together. Also looking for other Northern Ohio - specifically Cleveland - GB fans.

I've got a friend of mine helping me get my gear together. My original goal was to have it ready by Mid Ohio Con, but I won't be able to go this year, so maybe Chicago Wizard Con.

Yeah, Looks like Ernie should be showing up to that event in the Ecto too. It'll be pretty neat!

The SEOGB will be there. Hopefully I'll finally get a picture with Ernie. I have his autograph but was screwed out of a pic thanks to AdventureCon's management.

Darn it, I am graduating from The University of Toledo, spring commencement ceremony is on May 5th. This is one of the first GB events I have seen in awhile in Ohio, I was really hoping to go. Hard to find events from up here on the north west corner of Ohio.

I know this is short notice, but is anyone going to the Zombie Walk of Dayton, Ohio? Its Friday, June 1st and it starts at 11pm. The location is:
OMEGA MUSIC
318 E 5TH ST,, Dayton, OH 45402
I believe the walk starts in the parking lot near that location. I plan on going in full gear. Anyone else?

The Midwest Haunters Convention is next weekend the 8-11th. Its basically a haunted attraction tradeshow. The Columbus Ghostbusters went 2 years ago got a pretty decent response. The tradeshow is free to get in to. If I didn't have to work on the 9th the SEOGB would be there.

It's a fun time for anyone who wants to see the new products appearing in Haunts this Halloween.

On Saturday October 27th in Columbus OH there will be a showing of Ghostbusters at Studio 35 Theater on Indianola Ave. It's being organized by the folks at Longview Barber Shop, a local business that loves to throw a big Halloween bash.

I plan on being there with my Ecto Magnum, and I'm hoping other area Ghostbusters can attend as well. No admisson, but food donations will likely be accepted for an as-yet undetermined charity.

Facebook event page.

In addition the Columbus Ghostbusters are teaming up with The Scare-A-Torium in Dublin OH to help provide Sunday afternoon lights-on tours for kids and their families. I'll also be there Friday September 28th for their opening night, assuring the waiting crowd that the spooky stuff will stay inside.
