I was hoping to have a shiny new mold to show today but my mold box had a failure of epic proportions and has left me with nothing but an expensive rubberised river of slime prop :sigh:
Thankfully the master wasn't damaged though.

I'll order more silicone at the end of the month and make sure to over engineer the box this time, just in case.

I pulled a test cast of the body today and it came out pretty nice :)

Image

There are a few blemishes on the underside and the excess resin left by the pour spout but thats easily removed and the blemishes are easily fixed with an air vent.
The cast came out surprisingly clean with only about 1/12 inch of flash on one side but it was so minimal that I was able to remove it with my fingernail.

Im pretty happy with it considering its the first test pull but with a few small tweaks it should be even better :) .

Im waiting on another order of silicone to make molds for the arms and stand which should be here tomorrow so I'll pull some parts from those asap and assuming everything goes well it should be ready to go within the next few weeks depending on funds.

Heres the first pull from the wine stand mold.
It isn't as clear as it should be due to some contamination.
I stupidly used the wrong mixing stick and didn't notice until it was too late.
But it should give you a good idea of what the finished article will look like.

Cheers guys :)

Still not sure on the price, once I've worked out the kinks and pulled the first full kit I'll have a better Idea.
I should have more news on that within the next few weeks.

This looks awesome.

Please make sure to fulfill all of the seller requirements before offering these though.

Ive got the slimer bodies and stands coming out pretty nicely now but Ive been having trouble getting the resin to flow into the fingers of the left hand properly .
It looks like Im going to have to modify the mold slightly before I'll have something that Im happy to add to the kit.

Hopefully though I should have it sorted soon, provided I dont run out of resin :P

If you provide an extra (I believe people call it a) flow tube at the end of the difficult fingers, then the resin and air will be more will likely to flow in rather than causing massing air pockets from forming and preventing flow.

It'll add a little extra flash that you'll have to remove, but it's worth it to have a nice mold.

Oh, and I'm interested in one depending on price.

Cheers for the advice SlimeGuy ! :)
I did that very thing with the right hand when I was having the same issue, the left is just proving a little more difficult due to the position of the fingers in the mold but I'll get the buggers to come out properly if it kills me :P

I'll put these up in the for sale section as soon as I've worked out the kinks, shouldn't be too long.

Well its been a hectic last few months and unfortunately this project was put on the back burner due to work and college projects but the good news is that Im finished college for the summer so I can finally sort out the issue with the arm mold and put a test piece together.
assuming all goes well with the arms i should have something to show in the next few days.

Thanks darthbuster :)

The arm molds have proven to be more problematic to sort out than I thought they would be, purely because they were poorly executed.
I went with a two part mold when i should have took a little more time and went with something a bit more complex.
Im gonna keep at it and try to get them to a useable state but worst case scenario I'll get a couple of workable masters from it and make a new mold from them ( the sculpey masters were accidently destroyed a while back )

Ive got a couple of nice body pulls though so tomorrow Im gonna have a wee paint test with one of them.
I'll post the results once its done.
It isn't gonna be anything too fancy mind you as I don't have an airbrush at the moment so it'll just be hand painted with some good old games workshop acrylic paints and washes :)

Heres a body that I painted with some citadel paints and washes.
I wish I had left the clearcoat off though, It looked much better without it
I've made progress with the arms too but the mold still needs some work.

Hey, at least he does look slimy. :-D I'm really digging the sculpt.

Here's my favorite color combo: Dark Angels Green (Base) Snot Green (Main) and Scorpion Green (Highlight).

Thanks for the tip :)
Ive been messing around with different paint schemes for a few days and i managed to get pretty close to these pics using an averland sunset base, coelia greenshade, waywatcher green glaze wash and a little bloodletter glaze for the eyes and mouth.
ImageImage

Well...... it did look close until i had the genius idea of clearcoating it :P

I really like how yours turned out though, Im gonna try that on one of the other bodys
