Hmm. Yeah, I would caution that dude away from such a transaction and those people in general. Not the best way to ingratiate yourself to the community.

i looked at the thread in his FB and even i tried to warn him about buying from black listed sellers... we all make mistakes, but dont make the same mistake twice.

before i joined GBfans i bought a shell from a black listed seller on ebay, then learned my lesson and bought a better one. all sellers post great pics of their shells, (why wouldnt they) but dont be fooled recasters are bad news. and will only sell you problems.

Also posting things publicly on a public social website while 'friends' with some of these big wigs as you put them, then deciding to call them names or, as you said, wanting to have one anally raped, is totally a good idea...right?

He is from maine, but not in thier group. But that wasnt the point I was trying to make, it was about how the other guy was buying a shell from Raine as well

What's sucks as a new comer when looking at how to start building resource sites are limited and a lot of people rely on ebay. .. not know about this site and the black list of dealers so they have no way to know what they are buying is recasted or not. And I don't think this site was made for bashing. I appreciate the information about who is casting and it is a great idea to pass along feedback about products. We should help each other collectively.. the more we. Work together the better our causes and props.. what do you the creators of ghostbusters would think about all this bashing and bickering? And the prop in the picture posted earlier I build. I was very early on in development and progressed a great deal with the help of the maine ghostbusters that I am apart of. It is a team effort. They would probably not want to see people getting ripped off or stealing each others stuff either. Im pretty sure the guy he is buying the shell from has a username of "recastedrelics". Not really hard to figure that one out....

I would suggest that you're taking it too personally - the two issues I've seen pop up are making sure that we're presenting ourselves as best possible in public at the Boston parade and trying to be inform /warn one of your members against buying a shell from a known recaster.

If you guys show up in uniform without packs at the parade, it's not a big deal. Of course as a whole we'd love to have as many fully geared up folks as possible, something I'm sure you can all understand, but the more, the merrier, so long as you guys are up to snuff with what you do have. You certainly won't be alone if you don't have packs ready to go in a few weeks. I'm happy to meet new folks in the area, and so are others here.

As far as one of your members potentially buying a recasted shell and laughing along with a joke about a well-respected member of this community being "raped" - I'm not sure I need to explain the problem there on either account, do I? Doesn't look so good. You can't call that "bashing" if people take offense there.

No one is asking you guys to go away, but simply to respect the groups that have come before you and to not rush in too headlong before you're ready. Simple as that.

i was interested in the shell, only because i need another, so i asked about it. i saw alot of things i didnt like so im still looking.. and the comments i made about "big wigs" steamed from me getting constant crap from other community members... you got to be carefull on who to buy from, what to buy, accuracy, ect... seems like everything is negative, but i cant just go on not explaining/defending myself. so you have to understand my frustration. but seriously, its over time to move on..

Plus i didnt make the comment about the anal raping... i just said funny. what was i supposed to do? say, "hey guy thats helping me out, stop being mean!"? i didnt say anything bad about him. sorry if you see it that way.. but thats not the case. and


Proton Charger, i didnt know who you were till i saw your profile AFTER our little tiff started. when you showed up on my fb i just thought you were some random dude starting crap... i didnt want it on my profile. i have no idea what happenec between you and Steve, but it must have been crappy to leave comments like that on someone elses page.. and i apologize for throwin names at you, but what would you have done if i just randomly started bashin someone on your profile? probably react the same way i did. but i apologize. and steve is not part of MEGB, and he is not from maine, nor do i know what the heck is going on with him and you guys. dont know him that well. just talm Ghostbusters

i dont know what i would have done if i were you, because i dont make a habit of associating with losers and scumbags. you know, people like steve and raine...

because that makes me one of them by proxy, and i have more integrity in my pinky nail to know better than be around people like that. what kind of father teaches his children it's ok to buy from thieves or to use those children as excuses for whatever it was he was trying to do?

glad you clarified this., because i havent lied about anything... like i said, he showed up on my page, pissed at someone else, and i told him to take it elsewhere, i apologized for callin him a name, what more do you want? i said i knew him on fb, only because i had the chance to peek at his profile... so, feel free to tell me what i lied about?

although, glad my FB is soo amusing to some. i should have brand names pay me for advertisements

just admit that you were looking for a cheap way to get a pack by buying a recast, and stop trying to defend everything that you get called on. we have all made mistakes the key is to own them and learn from them to better your self.

you are like a bad politician who has done nothing but insult his own fellow government officials while talking to the enemy then when he tries to put a spin on it, and NO ONE BELIEVES HIM.

and before you even ask who you insulted;
telling that guy that you dont want to buy a Vince shell for $500 (not what he is charging, so insulting his price range)
