I've been really busy as of late (work and stuff), which has really curbed my customizing. I've been bringing stuff with me to work, so I can slowly chip away at some projects......I just took these pics on my lunch break so I could upload them now, I'll have some more pics (hopefully better/packged) tonight or tomorrow. Anyway......

I really dig the current IDW Ghostbusters book, and when I finished the first arc I realized I needed to make Gozer's third minion. Here's two hastily put together pics I took with my phone:

I was trying to find a bit of middle ground between Tristan and Dan's different styles, while still maintaining a bit of mine as well. Since Idulnas is new, it's nice to not have too many different source materials to work from. If that makes sense.

Stellar work on the creation and styling, Derrico, it's made me want to have an Idulnas figure, based on the strength of this piece and on well written he was in the comic.

Seriously IDW, talk to Mattycollector!

Hey D13!

As soon as I saw your first pic, I knew you really nailed the Idulnas figure. I went back to the comic to see who was the inspiration for what parts. I also like the musculature detail you added to the figure, it makes it more dynamic than if it was left smooth.

Once again, the packaging puts it over the top. A 4 crunch salute to you!

I'm glad you like the lack of smoothness- I really thought about it at first, since he's clearly smooth in the actual issues. I realized that wouldn't necessarily translate well to a figure that would fit in with the current Matty line, so I tried to find a good balance between Dapper Dan's style and the coloring in the issues, Tristan's sketches and my own blend into the figure itself. Tristan had a note about making the figure "Gozer-like, but more masculine" and that clinched the more "bulky" style of the figure for the starting point. I'm hoping for some more custom ideas from upcoming issues.

Holy smokes. My jaw is on the FLOOR. Seeing your work is always a treat, and this is no exception. The darker blue wrinkles/indents turned out really cool!

Awesome work Derrico. I can sympathize with your all work no play situation ;) I love that packaging too and the tendrils on the head came out great!

I get a very Anti-Venom feel from this figure. I like it! Good job!
