Yeah, we'll likely have a lot of time to stand around at the beginning while we wait in the "queue," and maybe once or twice more during parade choke points (in front of the press, rounding a corner in the city, etc), but otherwise it's pretty much nonstop walking for a few hours.
If you want to throw a pack on someone so you could get the weight off your back you could just walk to the sidewalk (assuming nobody nearby is drunk enough to grab you) and swap it over, then briskly walk/jog back to the group, but then you're jogging with a pack on.

In the event that you decide that you need a break from your pack, find someone willing to wearit, or if u want to store it in a car. All u need to do is find someone who would be willing to help hold it while u quickly slip out of it and then you assist with outtint it on the next guy, ir help to put it in the car. Just do it fast and go to tge back of tge last car. I dont see why you would need to go to the sidewalk and risk having some drunk grab at your gear like a zombie.

My only concern with doing it on the fly would be either dropping something or potentially backing up the parade, but if you're spry and have someone good with their hands you'd be fine. Use your best judgement!

As far as I saw last year, no one needed to remove equipment along the way. It's not as hard as it seems - those ALICE packs are made for stuff like this, so as long as it's adjusted well, it shouldn't be bad.

The thrill of the parade will make you forget about a lot of that extra weight you're carrying, but you'll definitely feel it the following morning.

As a member of LIGB, and as some of you in the loop already know, I'm just gonna go ahead, speaking on behalf of my team and stating that Chris also doesn't care which car goes first. Like I said, some of you already know that.
Kevin, I know what you're saying, offering the option of who goes first, and my team appreciates the gesture. The fact is, it seems that LIGB (not just Chris, the car owner, but the whole team) doesn't mind if the car's in the front or back.
I dare say that we don't really even mind if we're in the front or back of the PARADE, but that's my own opinion. Flipping a coin, switching it every year, or keeping it the way it was last year, it's all good!
In addition, it seems that as Jon mentioned before this post, he too doesn't mind where his car is in the configuration. So ultimately, it's all just like it was last year, where whoever is up front will probably get decided right then and there.
I'm not gonna be at this parade. Please don't fight over this. Get along and be bros. Please. :O Ronnnnn.... What the Eff man?? I won't punch-a-size you though...

Thanks again!

So, are we just doing marshmallows? And Do we all need to bring one? What about other candy? And gloves. Should we have some food service gloves?

Bring a bag if you want, but don't worry about gloves. Nobody has ever given us a hard time about that kind of thing before.
I'm bringing a bag or two, and I think a few others are too. Go with your gut feeling.

My paperwork requested no later than 11:30. You can slow up anytime from 10-11.

Good luck at the parade guys! Remember, St. Paddy's was yesterday, so instead of happy drunks, you'll have to please angry crowds of sober people with hangovers.

Today was a blast. I was also glad to put faces to names, and real names to log in names. In the event that i didnt formally introduce my self im sorry but i was dealing with a mild headache, trying to stay hydrated and trying to get used to wearing my gear again. Please take no offese! I hope everyone had as much fun as i did.

Oh my god there is NOTHING I hate more than people who take video while holding their phone vertically. Have you EVER seen a movie or tv show with that format, asshole???
