Alright people, this is definitely something we should plan to join up for, and we have months to gear up for it!

From the site:

"Flashpoint Media, LLC. has established a brand new Pop Culture event for Portland, Oregon – Rose City Comic-Con. Rose City Comic-Con has the very simple goal of creating a low cost, family friendly event that will appeal to a broad audience... September 8th – 9th at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 1000 NE Multnomah Ave, Portland, Oregon 97232."

Anyway, I think it would be great for us to pick one of the days to rock our gear and make a presence as the Portland Ghostbusters! A ways off, but something to look forward to.

I am deffinately down for this! I'd say by June we should have a get together with whoever is going. As of right now I'm free any of those days. This is so exciting! Our first official bust!

That's assuming we don't find some other killer event to do between now and then! :-)

Ofcourse. Power cell half-life is 5000 years, so I'm ready any time. Ha ha! I'm pretty stoked!

DUDE! Bradester, your ecto is no joke! We've got a guy with a white mid 90s hearse who might join us for events in the future, but we'd love to have you join us whenever you can, ecto or no ecto. I know it's bit out of the way for you, but I PMed you because I thought you might like some other busters to meet up with. Do you plan to re-insure the ecto in the future?

Of course it's no joke, I've been here for years :-)

Funny thing is, it's not *actually* my car. A friend was going thru a divorce and wanted to get rid of some things, and gave me the station wagon to play with for Halloween; neither of us really knowing how far the Ecto project would go. So technically it's hers since it's licensed to her and whatnots :-)

OH, and btw. This is for sale a bit south of Newberg. I havent gone to see it yet myself, as a friend spotted it and sent me the pic the other day. It's not totally screen/model accurate, but pretty darn close. Doesn't seem to have the fins though which is a downer. Or maybe it does, hard to tell.

yeah, that looks like a mid 50's cadillac. It has fins, they're just fairly understated compared to the '59. Any idea on a price on this thing?

No idea on price. I just messaged him asking if he knows and an update on its location.

Hmmm....

My Ecto could always use a Pre-Ecto. :-o
I might be interested in that one, too!
Oh, and I love your Ecto-wagon Brady! I'd definitely love to see it come out again! My setup is temporary, so its use would have to be on a case-by-case basis.
Maybe a Tigard area get together wouldn't be too far away for everyone?

I am do excited there is so much interest. We could do a Tigard area get together. It seems we have people in Tigard, Troutdale, and Portland. Portland is probably the midway point for us. But I'm down for whatever is convienient for everyone.

If everyone who has posted here is interested in a meet up, then it appears Tigard is the midway point. I'm down for a meet and greet with everybody.

I'm up for that, but I also don't think it'd be a bad idea to aim for a June-ish get together (as RoseCityBuster suggested earlier) and see what location makes sense based on the interested people at that time.

I'm down for a June meeting. My schedule is fairly open right now. Does anyone have a preference for the day? Since we are so spread out we should schedule a day far enough in advance to accommodate all parties.

I think we should schedule a day in June for a meet up. I'll throw a day and time out there and see if it sticks. How does Saturday June 2nd work for people? Say around 2:00 pm? Once we get the day and time nailed down we can select the place.

Hey guys. Looks like I may be moving to Portland soon. I would be a transplant for GB S.W.A.T. Motor City Division. I'll already have a trap, pack and uniform and a bunch of parts and equipment. As well as my ecto truck and my ecto in progress.

GBswat, Glad to hear, we're taking it slow but it would be great to meet you. RoseCityBuster and I met up for lunch a few weeks ago to talk GB and had a good time. There are some other folks in this thread, were going to try to meet up in June and hopefully will be able to roll out to Rose City Comic Con as a group in September!

As TheBigGuy said, we're moving slowly. We'd be glad to have you as part of a Portland group! As a side note, do we have anyone else down for a June meeting?

I'll try, but no guarantee yet. My "other" job (haha) is in the swimming pool business, and is horrendously busy in June. (6-7 days a week sometimes). September is a hit-or-miss, but most likely a go.

Well, I'm glad to hear there are some other GB's out that way. Depending on how things go I'd be more than interested in helping set up a franchise.

Ok, so I thought I'd take another head count for our June 2nd meeting. Still just me and the Big Guy?
