*If its not a trade secret, what did you use for the clear slime hose going to the thrower?

Not a trade secret, but it did take me awhile to find the stuff. It's Necklace Tubing used for Pony Beads. I found it in an A.C.Moore Craft Store.

Not if I can help it. The tutorial will show you everything, including how to paint. Besides, what do you think that Blue Tape is for ?

Yeah, paint makes a big difference but I really think the Decals are what kicks it, the Slime Muzzle Holes in particular.

You're right about the muzzle tip decals though, they look great and look a lot better than anything raised would have. Also really like the new, clear slime tank on top of the pack.

The whole thing, very very cool!

Hey Gang!

Sorry I haven't posted anything here for awhile. Truth is, there wasn't much interesting to post. Still working on some of the parts, but I can show you what the kit will look like (almost) when you get it.

I'll have some of the parts grouped together in plastic bags to make identification a bit easier. The Parts List will also come along with it so you can check to make sure I didn't leave anything out.

THE ROOKIE PARTS LIST

Decals 2
Stand 1
Flashlight 1
Radio 1
Lifeguard 1
Double Ion Arm 1
Crankbox cover 1
Side power lights 1
Slime tube & wire 1
Red wire 1
Green wire 1
Blue wire 1
Trap parts 2

Image

BAG A
Jumper clamps 2
Wire connectors 2
Box ‘n’ bulb 1
Conduit 1 not shown
Silver Wire & Vacuum Tube 1

Image

BAG B
Reservoir acrylic 1
Bottom ring 1
Coupler 1
Top ring 1
Cap 1

Image

BAG C
Slime Tank 1
Control box 1
Pack coupler 1
Conduit 1 not shown

Image

BAG D
Box extension 1
Base plate 1
Drum 1
Grip 1
Slime barrel 1
Barrel bottom 1
Acrylic top 1
Acrylic joiner 1
Barrel end 1
Coupling 1
Wire taps 2

Image

I still have to cut and shape the Conduit pieces...

Image

...and drill out holes for the wire in the Box Extension, Drum, and Slime Barrel. I did leave you all some sanding to do.

Once that's all done, I'll be ready to pack 'em up and pm all of you who are on the list for payment.

"What the hell are you doin'?"
Image

In case you were wondering.

Image

I'm guessing most of you don't have a Push Drill and a 1/64 Drill Bit kicking around your Tool Box, so I'm drilling 10 tiny holes for the Wires and stuffing the Double Ion Rods into the Arms. Got about 9 sets drilled out sofar.

Image

There is light at the end of the tunnel. Once everything is drilled, I'll only have to bend the Wire Conduit parts and pack them up.

No worries Brandan, myself and I'm sure others will do some tutorials for the set to help guide you along and give you some advice to keep you on the right track.
