Hi gang, Ok, first off I have NO clue when it comes to wiring and volts and amps or watts. I've tried over the years but it's a language I just can't figure out. I've read most of the sound board threads here and STILL not sure exactly how it all wires together.
I have Exoray's first gen. Pack lights and his first gen Gun Lights. I have Crix's sound board, the Pre-Amp board and the CanaKit Amp.
I've read I need to switch out to 3PDT switches to run the 2 Exoray boards and Crix's board. I went to Frys and they had 2 kinds: on-off-on and on-on. Which do I need?
Exoray has a 9v battery pack going to the pack lights and 9v pack going to the gun lights. For the CanaKit Amp it says it needs at least 12V to run it, what kind of battery pack are you guys using for that?
Do I need to install an on/off switch to the Amp itself?

You'll want the on-on switch for the toggle. You'll also need a new push button if you plan on using the fire sounds along with the lights. I went with this one and haven't had a problem. For the amp battery I'm using one of these: It has it's own on/off switch so you don't have to wire one in.

Ok, I tried but nada. I could get static going through the speaker, and a faint crackly sound bit but that's it. I unsoldered the wires, I'll posts some pictures tomorrow and hopefully some one can spot what's wrong!

make sure you have your positive wire from your sound kit going to the WAN post I believe it is. That is the post for powered input. Also make sure it has a clean ground.

Thanks guys, I'll post some pictures today. I hooked up the board to just the speaker and I can get all the sounds fine so I didn't cook the soundboard. Hopefully you guys will be able to figure out my mistake in wiring. Thanks again!

Ok, I'll start at the very beginning... I have the 3V Battery Pack attached to the Crix Board: Red wire to 3V + and Black wire to 3V - terminals. Another member told me to put a (blue) wire from 3V + on the Crix to Vsnd+ on Pre-Amp. And a (blue) wire from 3V - to GND on Pre-amp. I also have a red wire from + Speaker terminal on Crix to SPK+ on Pre-amp terminal. Black wire from Speaker - terminal on Crix to SPK- on Pre-amp. Is this correct so far?
