The song is reflected by the use of a gritty tone, and rock/funk-inspired variation!I really appreciate that

It had that AM radio voice effect that was very popular at the time, expecially with Rob Zombie. I still enjoy listening to it for the pack start up sound.

It was ExTREEEEEME....to the max! Nah I do appreciate it. Kinda how you'd want a GB3 version to sound. Updated but still derived enough from the original to be recognizable.

Ive recently gotten mad at myself cause a couple years back I was on ebay lookin up random ghostbusters stuff and someone was selling a disc cut to the shape of the no ghost logo and apparently the disc had a recording of the whole egb theme uncut. havent seen anything like it since. Also, found a website that belongs to the guy who did all of the background music for egb as well. http://jimlatham.filmmusic.com/. Go to audio clips.

Although it isn't my favorite version of the song, I'm going to have to agree that it is pretty damn good. Hopefully my band will make a version of it.... when I get my band back.

Yes....that song is the pudding. Chocolate even! *Walks away whistling like nothing happened here* The topic did stray a little, probably could have split it off but meh. Back on course I suppose. I admit I got a bit off too. The whole Winston thing could sadly be argued until the end of time. Apologies to brawl.

I wish there was a longer version of the theme somewhere.

*There's longer versions of the song in some of the end credits I believe, and in at least one of the promos...Maybe someone could "mash-up" a full version? ... *Cheers.

That extension had cool lyrics too:
When the things that slither in the shadows Keep you up late at night When there's something lurking in your closet who can make you feel alright?
Then something about: "We're the ones you turn to (something something) We're the ones who (something) JUST CALL THE X G B!!"
It was pretty cool though. Definitely a fitting revamp. Done with respect to the times and the GB legacy. It added to what was already there, did it in good taste, and stayed classy. I wonder, if they revamped the song for GB 2 (run DMC) and for XGB, would the pattern continue for a GB3?

It would be cool if they did a Revamp for GB3. IF they do a GB3.

speaking of the EGB theme, there's a video on YouTube of the credits, but someone made a remix of the theme with Nine Inch Nails' "The Hand That Feeds". it actually turned out pretty kick-ass! i wanted to download it, it has a link, but you have to join a website to get it. idk if u have to pay or not, so thats the only bummer to it.

I love this version of the song... when the guitars kick in near the end when they're gearing up... I REALLY wish I could find a full, effects-clean version of the song.

I've never been a huge fan of the EGB song. *ducks for cover*
I guess the original is such a memorable song, I don't like it being toyed with that much. That's not to say I hate the EGB version, it's just not as good as the original, imho.

It had it's merits as a cover, but the vocals are horrible - does anyone really need reminding of nu-metal? kurt died for this? etc. The incidental music from the series was fantastic, though! some really bernstein-esque touches in there.

I can sing the Extreme Ghostbusters theme without the lyrics or the video itself. I'm too hooked on it. Lol. ^^.
